Where do I begin? (1) very little soap (2) room was not ready (3) fire alarm went off at 12am (4) fire alarm went off again at 12:30am (5) no staff available to address fire alarm problem (6) phone was out of service (7) The toilet paper roll appeared old and previously used by another guest (8) The hotel seemed to be serving as temporary housing for people experiencing homelessness. (9) The electricity went out four times — just long enough to turn off the TV each time and interrupt my programs.

The staff was great. They only have one elevator. The downer was the fire alarm going off in the middle of the night and staff are not in the building overnight.

Good location and clean.

The bed was not very comfortable.

Bathroom was filthy. Sink didn’t drain. Faucet was broken and loose.

We always appreciate the safety features such as the key card entry, and kitchen features. The beds are comfy and the sheets and towels are clean and comfortable.

There were a few things this time that were concerning. There was obviously a fire there while we were there due to the burnt marshmallow smell that lingered on the main floor and esp in the entrance way our entire stay after day 2. Our room was extremely smelly (like rotten fish) and when I referenced the smell it was indicative of electrical issues. I had already had issues with the electrical sockets in the kitchen before identifying the smell and I notified staff at checkout. Also one of the nights (after the fire that happened in another part of the hotel) we were awoken to a smell of something burning but didn’t witness any smoke. We were on edge until the smell dissipated about 30 minutes later (this was around 3am). I sent my husband down to notify staff but no one was there or reachable at all. We stay here every year and love the accommodations. Just a little nervous with all the fire issues.

Room was filthy. Main areas like the tub and countertops seemed clean but the floor was sticky to walk on and there was dirt and dust piled up at the edges of the floor and corners. Splattered mess on the kitchen cabinets and under the bathroom sink. Thick dust in the bathroom exhaust fan. Water pressure was horrible in shower and literally a trickle in the kitchen sink. Threadbare, stained towels. Also, soon after entering the room my whole family was sniffling and sneezing. I can only imagine what the HVAC filter looked like. Every time we went through the hallway by the elevator on the main floor there were wet floor signs out because of puddles of dog urine that weren’t cleaned with any urgency.

Front desk staff is 5 stars 100%. They were very accommodating and friendly. The only thing I can possible come up with is the hot water is a hit or miss but it wasn’t enough to keep me from booking again. I absolutely love the service I received. The room was clean and property had a great security system going on. This is the first place that I have stayed that I have had to scan my room key a few times to reach the elevator but definitely not complaining. I will absolutely recommend to others
