That we were only able to stay one night

Very historic property. Super clean and in a great location. We loved the holiday decorations and the friendly, welcoming staff.

Super clean and well kept with whimsical Halloween decor.

Room was a bit chilly, but we later discovered additional blankets and the heating.

Historic charm

The inn is steeped in history and is well located close to the main road but without any issue with traffic noise. Our room was in the more modern wing with its own entrance accessed by a code which was provided by text beforehand. The room was comfortable and well equipped, with a large, smart bathroom. We dined in the Inn in the evening and thoroughly enjoyed the food and a nice bottle of wine. Staff, though obviously busy, were attentive and friendly and our waitress dealt very well with a small accident involving a dropped plate.

The room was a little cold on first entering and it wasn’t immediately obvious how to adjust the heating. One of the mattresses was not sitting properly on its base and consequently collapsed when my husband sat on it - we were able to sort this out, however. There was a musician playing in the restaurant who was rather too loud for the space, making conversation a bit difficult. He was obviously popular with other guests, however, as the bar area was packed.

I liked the contactless registration. They were in constant communication through text and made everything simpler. The room was clean and updated. Better than what I expected. I would recommend it to anyone and stay again.

I don't have any complaints.

Easy to like the General. The manager gets it and gave my wife and I a great room for a last minute trip . Thank you,
