Chestnut Inn at Oquaga Lake

It was wonderful to be at a place that made you feel comfortable and at home.

A very nicely restored historic hotel. The room was comfortable and well appointed.

The rooms were so clean and luxurious. The lake was gorgeous. The complimentary breakfast was a meal fit for a king

They had a very minor toilet issue where it clogged but they were super good about fixing it while we were out for the day and made sure to fully disinfect everything! They even offered us to change rooms but I didn't think that was necessary and we didn't want to move our things. The service was exceptional.

Beautifully restored with old fashioned charm, this place is a hidden gem. A perfect couple’s getaway, the staff were friendly and attentive, the food was delicious-the restaurant menu was excellent- and the whole experience was wonderful. Cannot recommend highly enough!

The Inn is beautiful. They have kept it as original as possible to maintain the beauty, but upgraded it enough to have a pleasant stay. The suite was so spacious and it was incredibly comfortable. The staff was very accommodating as well.

I can't think of anything we didn't like.

Breakfast was delicious and was real food offered as a buffet. The lady at the front desk offered a water bowl for our dog and when she brought it up there was also a rope toy for the dog which was a pleasant surprise and the dog loved it. Location was secluded and peaceful, and water access with supplied canoes was very nice too even though we didn’t go on the water. Will definitely be back!
