Longfellow Hotel

Great boutique hotel in Portland. My spouse uses a walker or wheelchair and she was able to get around fine. We were in an ADA compliant room and there was adequate space to maneuver around. Walk in shower was nice as well. We grabbed some light dinner and a drink downstairs and ate in one night. Limited food selection but it was well prepared and tasty. Staff was very attentive and courteous. Will come back!

A true 10/10 hospitality experience! Will absolutely return for another stay! The location was great and having the option of using their town car was so convenient!

Terrific service and a tasteful very comfortable base to explore Portland. A great bar and fancy hotel car to get back to the hotel after dinner! Also really fun places for coffee next to hotel.

We loved the location and boutique size of the hotel. The employee assisting us with check in was so pleasant and so helpful! She gave us a short tour of the layout and amenities before showing us to our room and making sure we knew the best way to contact staff for any needs during our stay—really appreciated this! It was great to have a quaint bar and cafe in the hotel as well which we really enjoyed!!

Our stay at the Longfellow was perfect! From check-in to check-out, the staff was so kind and efficient! Our room was spotless and very comfortable. Our coffee, lunches, and snacks were delicious. The lobby was calm and relaxing, and a great place to hang out after a day of sight-seeing. We’ll definitely be back!

The room was fantastic - comfy bed, lovely bathroom, great coffee and tea station in my room and in the reception area. The bar and cafe are fantastic too. I particularly loved the personal / human touches: no AI customer service here!

Had a great stay for our anniversary at Longfellow! Staff was very kind and easy to communicate with. The room was clean and they even upgraded our room to a 5th floor room with a view. On top of that, we were provided with free drink cards to celebrate our anniversary! The hotel provided a free taxi service to and from our dinner spot, super convenient! We will be back next time we visit Portland!!

This is the second time that we have stayed at the Longfellow Hotel in Portland, ME and we weren't disappointed. The staff is outstanding. Each person we interacted with was extremely friendly and helpful. A shoutout to Ying who went the extra distance to make sure that our stay was perfect. Last year we stayed in a suite. It was large and very comfortable. The towels were unbelievably soft! This year we were in a standard room. Also nice. The hotel is committed to sustainability and should be commended for their effort. The hotel ambiance is European, which is lovely. One can have a light meal or snack throughout the day in the lounge. A highlight was going to the Astraea Spa which is associated with the hotel. Just to note that there is a hefty parking fee as well as a daily "hotel fee" (aka resort fee). I would prefer that the hotel just incorporated the "hotel fee" into the rate of the room. Notwithstanding the extra hotel rate, overall, this place is a gem. You won't regret staying at the Longfellow Hotel.

Great hotel. The bedding and pillows are so, so comfy! Beautiful room and lobby area, great bar, gym is super spacious, and my friend said the sauna was fabulous. LOVED the car service that would take you to nearby restaurants. The front desk staff, the bartender, drivers for the car service, and cafe staff were all fantastic. Oh! And loved that it was dog friendly - seeing pups hanging in the lobby makes me smile. Would definitely recommend - my friend and I had a fabulous stay. My only quibbles - the French press in the room for coffee is wonderful idea! Love it! But I had to ask for a spoon to stir the coffee for making the French press and then stirring in sugar. The second day, they didn’t replace the spoon and left me with a weird wooden paddle thing. Did the job, but odd. Also - no cream cups in the fridge or coffee mate cups/creamer packets. For such a lovely coffee setup, a bit strange. I’d definitely add a spoon and some sort of creamer option for guests. I just went to the market and bought a small thing of half and half and kept it in the fridge, which made for an absolutely perfect morning coffee. Really appreciated the French press vs the standard k-cups or nespresso at most hotels. Also, housekeeping threw away a pastry box that had a pastry, a bread roll, and a really nice stick of French butter that was saved for the next day. The box wasn’t near the trash, but was on the counter next to the coffee pot, along side a couple other items. Not a huge deal, but like $20 worth of food that had been saved on purpose - why would you throw away a pastry box that obviously had things in it?
