Hospitality was good, the beds were comfy. It was pretty clean. We were out of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the shower, not a big deal as we brought our own.

"New hotel, horrible customer service"

The young man at check-in was courteous and helpful. We did not eat breakfast but it looked to be adequate.

Problems at check-in associated with the Bookings.com reservation that added 5 minutes but got sorted out. Also, I did not get any points towards my IHG membership. Three red flags; 1) a $50 hold was placed on my credit card at check-in, this is typical. During the night another hold of $113.73 was placed on the same card.  At check out in the morning, nobody could explain the rational for the 2nd charge.  This is almost the total for the room charge. 2) a $6.26 "energy fee" was charged against my card, again nobody could explain the rational or justification.  There was no prior notification or disclosure on the website or at check-in. 3) When I contacted the hotel directly 3 days after check out to inquire about the second "hold" I was told that this was up to me to settle with my bank.  I replied, how can I settle with my bank when you placed the hold.  Then I asked about the "energy fee", I was told that is a charge have an "attitude".  Then the person hung up on me. I contacted IHG corporate on Tuesday regarding this issue.  A kind person told me that a case number had been assigned and I would be contracted within 48 hours.  I waited 72 hours and called the corporate office.  By midnight of the 5th day, the holds had been removed.  The person I was speaking with found the case number and proceeded to tell me that holds are routine.  She could explain why the 2nd and irregular amount of $113.78 was charged.  When asked about the "energy fee", she could not explain the justification nor rationale for the charge.  I asked why this fee was not disclosed at check-in or stated as a fee on the website.  Bear in mind, this is on top of the 21% taxes charged for the room.  When I mentioned the attitude I received from the hotel clerk on Tuesday, the corporate representative hung up on me. My wife and I typically spend between $15-20K per year for traveling domestic & international.

Nice and clean hotel. The bed was very comfortable and we did not hear any noise from other rooms. The breakfast was nice with hot and cold options. I would stay here again.
