The Global Ambassador

The culinary experiences were very good at the Global Ambassador. All dishes were excellent with great flavors and presentation. Thea restaurant was very loud and hard to hear for inside seating. Outdoor area at Thea was very nice. Hotel Rooms were very well appointed. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Reservation glitch caused a long delay at LeAme on our second dinner. Complimentary champagne was offered due to the wait. Pool staff was excellent. Very fun afternoon at the pool.

My whole stay I felt like a celebrity

The only thing I didn’t like (which isn’t a big deal at all because it was still decent looking) was the pool everything else was extraordinary nice. You just would’ve thought the pool would’ve been spectacular as well

Amazing hotel, with great customer service. The food and drinks at every restaurant, even the lobby cafe and lobby bar were great. The only negative is the parking situation. Its a bummer that they cannot validate your parking pass for your entire stay. The pool food was good aside for the ceviche. It was sub par compared to everything else we ate at the hotel.

From the moment we approached valet we were greeted with a warm welcome, a genuine smile and we were filled with excitement to celebrate our anniversary along with a lady friend. Front desk reception was a delight, easy check in process and again, genuine hospitality, If just so happens the hotel General manager was at the front desk and overheard it was our anniversary. Our room was surprisingly upgraded. We immediately went to the pool bar and had the privilege to be served by Gabriel. Must have the quesadilla, the pitcher of spicy Margaritas set the tone. Housekeeping was attentive to our needs when we requested extra items. My years in hospitality stems from the Ritz Carlton, Ladies and Gentleman serving ladies and gentleman. My number one place to stay, and that says a lot! And this is worldwide! It’s a hard on to compete with and I’m extremely well traveled! Kudos to your entire team, you made us all feel so special. We stayed at the GA for a one night staycation for our anniversary, as a change of pace from the Princess, where we often/usually stay for such occasions. We checked in at 1:30pm hoping to have a room ready but it was not yet available, so we went to the spa for dip in the hot/cold pools and massage. The locker rooms in the spa were expansive, with widescreen TV for sports, on tap beers and bubbly drinks, and lots of nuts/cracker type snacks. The spa is smaller than Princess (8-9 treatment rooms as compared to 40+?), but that's nice as it doesn't feel quite as massive and factory-like ... more boutique. The property is a little unusual, as it's got wonderful views of camelback in the distance, but it also in the middle of a urban area with neighborhoods and strip malls/office blds. So unlike many resorts which are hidden away from cities, this one is tucked right into a neighborhood of businesses and apartments looking right down into/onto the resort and pool. Bit of a different feel. The building, architecture, decor, and overall feel are nonetheless very beautiful. The rooms are clean/modern, and beds comfortable. It was our anniversary and the staff brought up a surprise bottle of champagne and slice of chocolate pie with a note - nice touch. The lobby is a bit chaotic in the evening, as it was Sat night and there was live music, lots of 25-40 somethings in nightclub type clothing and dancing/visiting. This noise spilled over into the Le Ame restaurant, which has no separating doors, and where we ate dinner (reviewed separately). Was difficult to have conversation at dinner given the noise, but obviously the lobby bar is a hot spot for congregating. Overall a very aesthetically pleasing, modern, comfortable hotel, but less protected/relaxing than many of the other resorts in town (think Camelback/Phoenician/Princess). So a different feel, for different goals.

Location is amazing. Great gym, not too busy. Quiet rooms and luxurious beds. Wonderful amenities and awesome lobby bar.

Beautiful, hip, bustling.

Very elegant and luxury vibe and feel. Service is excellent and staff is very responsive, helpful, and pleasant. Rooms were very clean, bed was soft and comfortable, and bathroom was clean and proportionate to the room.

The pillows were body size, but the feel was subpar for the luxury style hotel I think they were trying to portray. Pillows were too airy and soft. Low quality. Other than that, it was a very very clean and the restaurants are very good. All of the new money singles and couples are in the lobby restaurant and up on the rooftop bar, hence the loud ambience is a little overbearing, but those drinking seem to be enjoying themselves.

Would give 5 stars but we were incorrectly charged a dining bill on our room and awaiting a refund. Property was maintained very well, lots of dining options, very busy on the weekend. Great views on the rooftop for golden hour.
