Woods Cove Inn

I made a last minute reservation for one night. The process to make the reservation and check in was seamless. The employee was present during the office hours as stated, and helpful. The location was fabulous. The price was right. The bed, more than comfortable. I enjoyed the pool, the patio and the beach across the street. My travel plans had changed quickly. Thai location made a bad situation much better!

Overall, our stay was great and the room and facility was clean and comfortable. We loved the fact that they had a microwave available in the lobby area. The parking spaces are rather tight and was a bit challenging getting our son in and out of the backseat at times. We loved having a view of the beach from our window and would likely stay here again. The biggest issue was that the hotel didn’t have any additional washcloths our entire stay. I’ve never encountered this and it was concerning to me. There was an abundance of every other type of towel available to guests but no clean washcloths for 3 days. Hopefully they can invest in more because the property really isn’t that large. The staff was always very friendly but was dishonest in the beginning about bringing washcloths to our room. They never appeared.

I arrived and had my hotel confirmation handy. The office to check in was closed, despite Google and Expedia stating otherwise. The required Sonder mobile app failed to allow me to checkin as it did not recognize my face, despite adding overhead lighting from inside of my vehicle. I called the phone number provided and the representative for the hotel instead of assisting me with checkin offered to “remedy” the situation by canceling my reservation, and continually repeated “just follow the app instructions!” Mind you, this is at night with no where else to go. After fumbling through the required unintuitive check-in mobile app for 20 minutes, the application finally granted me access to my hotel room. The app asked me to select a checkout time, and I selected 9:30 AM. At approximately 8:30 AM the cleaning staff entered my room and asked if this was my room or if I was leaving. I attempted to contact the office before leaving to share these poor experiences at approximately 9:30 AM, however again the concierge was not present. A sign at the desk simply instructed me to use the mobile app!

We loved our stay here. The rooms have a great design and feel and are very comfortable. A little bit of age on the property but gives it the Laguna charm. Would definitely stay here again!

It’s very calm perfect for my husband and I to just unwind very close to the beach.

The only thing I didn’t like was that I wasn’t able to check out later after I had spoke to representative saying that I could and the manager later told me no, so we had to rush after just wanting to check out 2 hours later.

Es war nachts recht laut durch die Straße, die direkt vor dem Hotel verlief. Unser Zimmer wurde leider nicht gereinigt, obwohl wir zwei Nächte dort waren. Insgesamt haben wir den Aufenthalt als sehr unpersönlich empfunden. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis hat für uns nicht gepasst! Allerdings ist anzumerken, dass der Trolley direkt vor dem Hotel gehalten hat und der traumhafte Viktoria Strand fussläufig zu erreichen war! Das haben wir sehr genossen.

Great location a short way to the center of town and all the “action” yet just out of range. Great access to a terrific smaller beach - Woods Cove. Decent size room and quite comfortable for one person. My “only” complaint was noise of the air conditioner unit. It is not helpful to have all the benefits noted above when you can’t get a quiet and restful sleep.
