Woods Cove Inn

We really enjoyed the stay here. The only thing that we did not like were all those wooden stumps in front of the sinks that to us served no purpose and you couldn’t move them. They seemed like more of a hazard of getting injured or stubbing your toes. Still don’t understand what they werethere for. Other than that, it’s a great place. It has a pool. And then across the street you can walk down to the beach and see the sunset.

Very nice, great location and the room with bunk bed worked great for our family. It could have been a bit cleaner and needs a nightstand by the king bed. There is a reception with tea, towels, and a microwave which was helpful, and they answered our quesion about parking quickly via chat.

Rooms The rooms were impeccably clean and were nicely decorated. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. Rooms were small but with patio furniture on the deck, you didn’t need a large room. Front desk workers were extremely kind. I would highly recommend and would definitely stay again if in the area.

Gave 5 stars for Service and Staff, but we never saw any staff so that was great too. Beautiful property, spacious rooms, most comfy beds, affordable and will definitely come back.

Charming boutique hotel close to the beach, shops & restaurants. Was easy to book and access the room & lobby for extra essentials. Parking was super easy, room was great & clean. Definitely a great value! I will recommend Sonder as they have many locations all over the world.

This is a hotel/air bnb hybrid. Room was clean. We had the ocean view and the room is more secluded but it is very small and no sitting area. That is the only downside. It’s on the main drag and can be noisy but it wasn’t bad overall. Staff was friendly.

system is stupid and awful. when i got there , i found out there is absolutely no staff there at all. door locked. no way to get to a room. then i called the 800 number and found out it is all self-serve. in the morning, paper cups for coffee and the single coffee pod machine did not work, super tiny motel style room. tv does not work, unless you happen to have roku. no desk anywhere. forbid if you need any help or assistance... you are on your own.,

Nice decor, but tiny room sqft. Everyone in our party hurt their shins on the furniture. No space to walk around furniture.

In summary avoid Sonder and any of their properties. Especially this overpriced, freeway-like noise, one human (over worked) maid management style (from only 8am-6pm). A tech originator created a poor/dysfunctional UBER/FRONTIER style motel experience at premium prices. All customer service, payment, requests, early checkin, or anything at all is online only. No changes are allowed three days prior to arrival or the full price of your reservation is billed. Billing is upfront and months in advance - clever way for Sonder to invest that prepayment and make interest till we arrive (3 months later). I purchased 4 rooms. Within 3 days of arrival I was notified daily cleaning is an upcharge of $40/day/room. Calling the online customer service is a 20 minute wait time then a flowery customer service personnel repeats the policy again. When asked to speak with someone who could help, she sent an online escalation, which I received a repetitive, non-helpful, cookie cutter, apologetic response via email. Sonder takes zero responsibility for misleading a renter with the incessant upcharges. There is no mentioned of a $40/day cleaning upcharge in their Booking.com listing, which the online customer service agent agreed. It’s not even on Sonder’s website. However, in the fine print about 70 pages into their website site in the last paragraph, the last sentence, almost hidden is verbiage that states there “could be extra cleaning charges”. Technically it’s a terrible user experience. -10. Only the trip organizer has access to phone key cards via the app. Meaning if multi rooms booked, no other person in you party can access the phone key entrance. Secondly the app key card did not work. No one to call or help onsite, but the email and app says someone is available 24/7.
