Location, building and view

Some things in the apartment were broken or not in good condition, ie blinds, couch. Also there weren’t any basics like oil for cooking, so need to buy and throw out after the stay if flying

Free coffee at the reception hall and less than 2 minutes walk to East Croydon train station

We couldn't find a hairdryer. Should have brought our own travel-hairdryer.

The location was convenient to the train station, which is why we selected it. It was plenty big for our needs. The bathrooms were nice, and the kitchen was adequate. It was also kind of cool being on the 37th floor and being able to see London in the distance. The elevators were quick, too. The restaurant downstairs, Fern, was amazing; we ate there twice. There's also a Starbucks right downstairs. Overall, the place was very convenient and had a lot of potential, but it was just worn out.

Was it clean? I guess, technically. Maybe It would be considered clean if you were a group of college students who rented the place together; not so clean for a family. The couch looked like it was leftover from a bachelor party. There were stains on the rug and carpet in the bedroom. There was a stain on one of the towels. All table surfaces were excessively scratched and worn. There was really only one chair I felt comfortable sitting on. My wife wouldn't even sit on it and just sat on the coffee table. The beds only had a single sheet wrapped around the bare mattress and then the comforter. I'm usually a pretty forgiving guy with hotels, where my wife is not. We usually meet in the middle. But we both agreed this place was not great. It needs a serious update to all its furniture and a deep clean. I don't feel like the owners take its care seriously. It's filled with Ikea furniture, so it's not like it would cost a ton to refurnish. I just gave them £850 for four nights. There should be enough money to drop £3,000 to £4,000 and make the place awesome. Until then, I would recommend you look elsewhere.

The apartment was fine, but the sofa was disgusting and I just could not sit on it for the duration of my stay. This was reported immediately, and the team did try to clean it up, but it was so awful they couldn't do much. Otherwise the apartment was fine and comfortable. The sofa issue spoiled an otherwise good experience.

Great location opposite East Croydon station although not obvious which building it is due to there being no number on it. Large, comfortable, warm apartment with an en-suite and separate bathroom. Smart TV and good internet.

Although I completed pre-check in, I was asked for photo ID which wasn't mentioned as a requirement for getting the fobs. Fortunately, I had something with me. There were a few issues which a maintenance technician attended to. However, I wasn't notified in advance of his arrival at 10,30am. Also, I hadn't reported the issues. However, there was a quick response to the ones I did.
