Royal 2bed apartment City Center

Location ideal. Within walking distance to grassmarket, cafes, pubs, Sainsbury's and Edinburgh Castle. The apartment was very nice, beds were comfortable and toilet clean.

The apartment was cold at night despite heating on. It would be nice if we were able to adjust heating directly from radiators in the bedroom as opposed to the living area. Cutleries were missing so we had to purchase our own.

We loved this place! It was perfect for our family of 5 and we were able to walk everywhere. The locals were super friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

We had read bad reviews about the noise, we had no problem with this even though it is in a busy central location so some noise has to be expected.

Nothing to like, the entrance once finally entered through a faulty lock was like an entrance in to a crack den. The apartment was not particularly clean, the bed sheets were stained, the toilet did not flush correctly, the bath towels were as small as hand towels, the shower flooded the floors. It was cold, the windows old and letting in wind, very thin glass that let every drunkard from the noisy pubs below sound like they were in the room. Not to mention the constant base from adjoining bar until early hours. Not a lot of sleep and left after the first night of 3. We would not have stayed at all had it not been for the long drive to get there and nowhere else in Edinburgh having availability that night. Moved to somewhere else at a cost of £1500 but better spent than another night in the crack den ! Really not a good place to stay unless you wish to visit the very local bars and strip joints.

Property was clean and spacious, good location

It was very cold apartment with a thermostat which would not go above 22c , single glazed windows did not help. Location is near pubs so if you don’t like noise at night then this is not for you. No duvet for sofa bed in living room as it lists can sleep upto 6 , far to cold without a duvet. I also messaged about this and with the heating restrictions never got a answer! Such a shame as it was a nice apartment

A very cosy, stylish and clean apartment a short walk from Edinburgh Castle. Large rooms and very comfortable beds.

The building stairs could be kept better and the flat warmed up a bit more. Double glazing windows would probably block most of the late night noise coming from the downstair pubs too.

Lovely flat, well equipped and had everything we needed. Close to restaurants and main shopping areas

Downside to being central was the street cleaners, bin men out and about early
