Royal 2bed apartment City Center

Apartment suitable for 2+2(+2) persons - kitchen well equipped - nice bathroom - rooms very spacious - everything neat & clean. Information clear and keys easily accessible from box. Parking for the night in the street below. Close to Grassmarket, Castle etc. Blue Blazer bar on the corner has a great selection of single malts. Braw has high end hipster breakfast & nice crew.

They forgot to return my deposit - but did it right away when I called to ask

Entrance from outside, door was very shabby, hallway and stairs terrible, dark and dirty, unkept and unsafe

Unable to take a bath or shower as drains were blocked flooding the bathroom, reported but not resolved during our stay. No towels but this was promptly resolved.

There was no lift facility the building was old seemed a bit shady and the location was off too. We honestly were struggling to juggle up our suitcases to the door

Bathroom lock was damaged, for 2 families really difficult with the damaged lock.

Location for visiting key venues

The noise - not major but as we where over a bar and in a social area you did hear people leaving drunk

I liked it because it’s very comfortable with us with my family and great price.

Walkable to castle, apartment could use more pillows/blankets and carpet in bedrooms could be changed. Beds not really comfortable and shower is incredibly small. You are right on the street near clubs so it is quite loud. It is stairs so pack light, only 1 flight however.

The apartment was really nice, very clean and spacious. Extremely good location. Staff responded to queries in a very timely fashion and we all really enjoyed our time here.

The seal on the shower wasn’t too great, we found that the floor would get quite wet by the shower tray. Nothing a bath mat and a hot radiator to dry it can’t fix though!
