Cosy Apartment above Village Pub

Very clean and spacious, comfortable and quiet. Plenty of hot water, good heating and facilities. Surrounded by good walks, Bakewell 10 mins drive one way, Buxton 15 mins the other. A great base to enjoy the Peaks.

TheHD tv channels struggled for signal, but wi-Fi was good and all the basic tv channels were fine.

Clean, modern and secure

Perfect location for walking, as on bus route to beauty spots from which you can walk back. Brilliant to have plenty of parking and an exceptionally large apartment, recently refurbished, with all amenities. Only downside was staff made a lot of noise under my room until 1am. Otherwise ideal with reasonably priced food and open fires at the pub downstairs.

Near lovely walks, house really clean and spacious

Great location in a very pretty village between Bakewell and Buxton. Superb spacious accommodation in first class condition and extremely clean. Pub downstairs was great, really friendly staff and delicious food.

The only negative and it's very minor is the entrance/outside door area of the flat which is slightly scruffy and a little off-putting. It made us wonder what it would be like inside... But we weren't disappointed.

Having to leave

The location was ideal. The place has serious potential. Felt like it really lacked TLC. The vibe I got was that maybe past people who stayed didn't look after it so now the owners can't be bothered.

I wish there was a welcome pack with info on how to use the fire tv etc. I arrived, the main lounge tv wouldn't switch on. So I went to lidl for batteries and then that didnt work. The fire didn't work either and I was a bit cold. I stayed specifically above a pub for ease of having food. When I popped down on the Saturday to ask about a table I was met by a rude bar staff who refused us a table and told me that they had a staff do of 15 people in so couldn't help us. I gathered a pub could manage a plate of chips or a sarnie but apparently not.
