This was the best experience I’ve ever had at a hotel. From the moment we arrived in Ravello, Salvatore took amazing care of us. His passion for the hotel and town are unmatched. I would come to this hotel every year for the rest of my life if I could.

There is nothing that is not 10 stars about this hotel.

One of the most beautiful locations I have been lucky enough to have stayed in. What an absolute privilege from check in to check out. The attention to detail is magnificent and Salvatore is the cherry on top. What a wonderful host!

Villa Barluzzi exceeded our expectations on every level. The location is perfect for a quiet retreat, yet you’re only steps away from Ravello village square, the spectacular views that surround Ravello, and attractions like Villa Cimbrone. Perched high on the hillside, the views from Villa Barluzzi are so incredible that there are no words to articulate the beauty of the landscape and the Mediterranean. And if that isn’t enough, the white glove service from Salvatore and his staff was second to none – you feel like family the moment you meet Salvatore. We were so impressed that we extended our stay. 🙏🏼

My secret plan from day one was to propose in Italy/Amalfi to my (now) financée. She'd mentioned in passing that she hoped for a private, intimate setting for a proposal. When I stumbled across the magnificent Villa Barluzzi while searching for a hotel suite, I knew this would be the perfect place to pop the question. Once the suite was booked (Kronos), I was in regular contact with the wonderful & sincere host, Salvatore via messaging. With great enthusiasm, he listened to and actioned my requests, and gave me good suggestions on where to book our post-engagement meal. When we both arrived at the villa for the big moment, I was just as gobsmacked as my financée even though I knew what was coming. In-person, the Kronos suite truly was something else. Inside the room, the attention to detail with the finishings, ornately painted floors, terracotta + brass tiling, and overall grandeur matched the occasion. I proposed on the AMAZING private garden terrace, the huge Amalfi panorama framed within the background on a beautiful day. It was incredibly romantic, and my financée and I loved every second. Villa Barluzzi, the diligence of Salvatore & staff helped create an unforgettable experience, for us to enjoy our engagement to the fullest in our little slice of Italy. We'll be forever grateful. Stunning - just like my future bride!

Honestly, I have no recollection of anything negative!

What can I say: from the moment we arrived, no actually, even before we arrived, the communication from Salvatore was fantastic, he is an asset to the Villa, nothing is to much trouble, what a genuine person he is, who truly cares about the Villa and your stay in it. After we had caught our breath, because the beauty of this Villa really does take your breath away, we were shown everything that we needed to know, impeccable service from all the staff and the attention to detail was amazing. I could go on and on, but don't take my word for it just stay here, you will not regret it. The beds were soooo comfortable it was a real effort to get up in the morning. The Villa was spotlessly clean and breakfast served in your room by Sylvia and Titiana was so delicious. I really can't praise Salvatore and the Ladies enough they made an amazing stay into a wonderful memory to cherish forever.

The property is amazing. The detail and care for everything right down to tile baseboards is exceptional.

This is a very unique & historic building with beautiful ornate features throughout! Our room was fantastic! There is great attention to detail in everything. The towels & bedding are amazing quality, all rooms have a sea view for breakfast on your terrace & there are some lovely Italian treats to sample!! Everything is very considered. Grazie mile!!!

You must be prepared to walk up and down stairs

The Villa is a beautiful old chapel and related rooms, and we had two room. Each was full of character with lovely views and balconies and/or outdoor space. The GM Salvatore is a delight and coordinated a car to bring us from Positano. He made a number of great suggestions of what to visit and how to avoid the most crowded areas. Breakfast was delicious. The grounds in front of the Villa are beautiful, and they are adding additional amenities.

Not a problem for us, but it is accessed only via fairly steep walkways. If you find walking up hills challenging, this may not be the place for you.
