H4 Hotel Wyndham Paris Pleyel Resort

DO NOT BOOK!!! THIS HOTEL RUNS A SCAM!!!!! I booked a 3 night stay through last minuite.com upon arrival I was told that they didn't have anything to show my reservation. I showed my email from lastminute.com showing my reservation fully paid. As the reservation team working at the hotel weren't there at that time I was told that I'd have to leave a deposit to stay for the first night and that the reservation team would get in touch with lastminute.com and the reservation would be sorted (apparently lastminute.com have a habbit of taking bookings without passing the info on to the hotel). Originally I paid £248.81 for my 3 night stay. There was a price list on the reception desk showing prices for each room at the hotel. The comfort room (which is what I booked) showed the rate of €530 per night and that is what they asked me to leave as a deposit. I queried this as it's a lot more money than my original booking but they assured me that's what the rate is. Begrudgingly I paid the deposit. The next day I checked to see if the situation had been sorted and they said that it had all been corrected. I asked if I can get the deposit back on my card. I was told that it will be refunded at checkout minus the city tax which I didn't pay on check in. City tax is around £15 per day so £45 for the 3 days. So still around €500 to go back onto my card. When I checked out I again asked about the refunded deposit. I was told that it will be automatically returned to the card. I again queried this. I wasn't happy to leave the hotel without some record of this money being held because if the money wasn't returned I have no proof. I asked for a receipt and they gave me a recepit for my original booking with no mention of the €500+ depsoit. Someone on reception gave me a hotel card with a email address and phone number on and said if the money didn't go back on get in contact with them and it will be sorted. 12 days after checkout and I still haven't been refunded. The amount in sterling is £384. I have sent numerous emails in English and French to different email addresses associated with the hotel and have had no response. I've called the hotel with no answer. I now believe this is a way of scamming tourists out of money by making up this story about no reservations, taking a deposit which they have no intention of refunding. I'm taking this further if possible. Extremely poor from the Hotel. DO NOT BOOK!!! YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!!!

The room was clean and the staff was nice

clean room , great service, super close to the subway with direct access to the blue line that goes to major city attractions ,great food at the restaurant as well as amazing breakfast options, highly recommend, quick drive form the airport

Just very nice!

We stayed overnight and we were out most of the time. Train is nearby and it's an easy commute to the city center.

Hotel H4 in Paris offers a fantastic stay with spacious, clean rooms that provide plenty of comfort. The staff truly stands out for being very helpful and attentive to guests' needs. Breakfast is excellent, offering a variety of delicious options to start your day. Very clean, modern, newly built property located right next to the underground Metro station (35-40 min train from Paris central). Room size is very spacious for Europe. Big beds and very friendly staff. Public transportation Travel tip from Gare du Nord: - If you plan on coming to this property from Gare du Nord, I don't recommend taking the Green (D) line train because you will have to walk quite a bit from the drop-off at St Denise, especially with luggage. - Instead, you are better off taking the purple line + Bus (255) which will drop you right outside the property.

This hotel might look modern and trendy (and the rooms are actually very spatious to French standards) but they have dehumanised the customer in the proces and this clearly has an effect on quite a lot of the employees. Throughout the week I rarely saw someone smiling and they saw a customer having a problem not as a challenge but more as a nuissance. And when they think you can't speak French, they actually talk to a colleague very rude about you in your presence. I know somebody who works in France in a prison and he treats the prisoners with a lot more respect then this hotel with it's customers.And on top they charged me about 50 euro's per night to much!
