The Rebello Hotel & Spa

We stayed in the hotel for 4 nights to explore Porto. The hotel located in Gaia is a 25min walk to Porto over the Louis bridge but adjacent to all the Port houses. There is a scenic flat walk from the hotel towards the coast and to see bridges up close. The hotel is very modern and new, with a very cool vibe. The rooftop bar is not to be missed … with stunning river views and a welcome chill out after exploring a busy Porto. The pool serenity area is super too … though is busy … and needs to be booked in advance, taking only 8 people in 1 hour slots … which I guess adds to the chill! The rooms are vast and beautifully curated, a delight to return to. Though we found housekeeping and turndown services a bit variable but did not detract from our stay. Breakfast was good and well staffed. The staff were all very attentive. Definitely hope to return.

What spectacular experience this hotel offered. We had a studio with a river front view. This has to be the best possible view of Porto one could hope for. The room design is very slick and well thought out. The staff was excellent. One of the coolest hotels we ever stayed at.

From check-in to check-out our stay was very nice. They had our reservation booked as desired, gave us a tour upon arrival, and brought us to our room - followed quickly after by our luggage. Our room was the 2-bedroom, and it was perfect for our family with a kitchen and 3 washrooms. Accommodations were comfortable, clean, and in good working order. We added breakfast to our room which was worth it having a four-year-old along for the ride. We also had a wonderful Portuguese dinner at Pot and Pan on the day of our arrival (rated highly on theFork too!). We enjoyed a professional massage at the spa and booked a time at the indoor pool to relax. The location was convenient by walking or car/taxi/uber and the beautiful setting along the Douro River has unmatched views. Service, quality, professionalism, convenience - it checked all the boxes and more.

Would HIGHLY recommend The Rebello for your next stay in Porto, and fun fact: the best place for views of Porto is here at The Rebello, technically in another city but IDEAL for views! The staff was so kind and upgraded our room for free and we had the most incredible views and stay. Clean facilities, super friendly staff & almost-perfect service! Hope to return someday soon!

The Rebello is a great location. The staff and rooms are all great! We also enjoyed having lunch at the rooftop bar and restaurant. Would definitely recommend this to anyone. The staff were very helpful with any questions. the spa is also a very nice break from sightseeing.

Outstanding experience! Friendly, efficient , and informative check-in. We were upgraded to a nice river view duplex suite. The hotel arranged reliable transportation from the airport and to our next stop. Finally, the breakfast was excellent. What else can I say, we were very happy with our stay!

Very good stay overall with excellent communication from the hotel prior to arrival. We booked direct and had a transfer from the airport included. When our flight was delayed and then a huge wait at passport the hotel went above and beyond to help rearrange our port tour and tasting at Grahams. We had pre paid to ensure we had a room with a balcony but the rest of the room was to be paid for on departure and this subsequently caused what seemed a big issue to resolve when we checked out which we found not understand. The hotel is in a great location, with stunning views and a terrace which was a reason we booked it. Our room had a great view but we felt could have been better planned. Breakfast every day was delicious with a mixture of buffet and a la carte options. The booking a time slot is something we don’t like on holiday but was required. The spa pool etc were lovely and we used on a rainy afternoon. Whilst we enjoyed our first night dinner on the roof terrace on our last night we tried to go for drinks but felt unwelcome and after waiting for over 10 -15 minutes to order we left. There appeared to be plenty of staff but they were mostly inside and may have been on a shift change over but nonetheless not impressive. This combined with the check out experience took the edge off our stay. This was a pity.

Beautiful hotel with amazing views! The staff, food, location and room were superb. The location is across the river from Porto, but the cellars and a vibrant area are on this side within a short walking distance, highly recommend this hotel!

The Rebello Hotel offers the best of both worlds—close enough to Porto’s vibrant streets yet peacefully secluded. Our river-view room was stunning, only outshined by the rooftop bar’s breathtaking panorama. Thoughtful amenities, including a complimentary Douro Valley wine, made our stay even more special. Plenty of waterfront restaurants in the Vila Nova de Gaia neighborhood are within walking distance, while a quick Uber, scenic stroll, or charming water taxi takes you across the river for more dining, shopping, and historic sites. The true highlight? The incredible staff—warm, welcoming, and dedicated to every detail. With convenient on-site parking and valet service, our stay was effortless. If you seek comfort, convenience, and spectacular views, the Rebello Hotel will not disappoint. And yes, there’s a lovely spa, enough said.
