The Rebello Hotel & Spa

We loved our stay at Rebello. The suite was spacious, comfortable, and impeccably clean — a welcome respite after a long day exploring the city. The breakfast was amazing! I would definitely stay here again.

Amazing hotel!! The location is the best and has unbelievable views. The views from the balcony are almost an image as the balconies are designed to frame the view. Day or night the view is breathtaking. The overall design of the hotel is perfect and if you like the industrial aesthetic this hotel is for you. Lovely big rooms with a sitting area, kitchen and large bathroom, very clean too. The small touches in the room are welcomed, especially after a late night flight. Everything from coffee - water is replenished daily should you wish. The spa is a must and is peaceful and tranquil. We visited as a couple but it would be perfect for families too, as the rooms are spacious and have a kitchen, which is a plus. I look forward to when we can return. Make sure to watch the sun set.

The view was outstanding and the food, both at breakfast and dinner, was quite fresh and well cooked! The staff was very friendly and helpfull. We will be back, for sure!

From the moment we arrived at The Rebello we were treated like VIP guests. Walter on the front desk checked us in and told us about booking in for the Spa and Breakfast. And a lovely young man called Jeremy took us on a Tour of the hotel and showed us around our room. Which was spotlessly clean and air conditioned with huge TV screens and robes/slippers for the Spa. A nice touch is having the fridge stocked with complimentary wine, beer and soft drinks. The bathrooms are so modern with huge sinks, heated towel rails and walk-in rain showers. We needed extra taxis ordered and information about the area and the staff on reception were so helpful. Nothing was too much bother. The rooftop bar has a sensational view of Porto and the Douro river. In fact we did go to The Yeatman for a drink to see their view but found the atmosphere and staff far superior at The Rebello. The breakfast was the highlight for us though. Everything was fresh, cooked to prefection with a huge selection of fruit, cereal, breads, pastries and hot food. The staff are over tending to you with coffee and juice as soon as you sit down and it’s clean and tidy. Served in their “Pot and Pan” restaurant. We made use of the lovely Spa every day of our visit. You just need to book your time as they don’t allow overcrowding. You get a 45 minute slot. The staff here were lovely too. We never ordered room service but we saw waiters bringing coffees up on trays. Everyone speaks English well. We noticed the amount of American visitors in this hotel. No doubt word has spread about its reputation for a relatively new venue. It is the opposite side of the river from Porto centre so you will need to walk across the bridge to get to Porto. But it’s a 5 minute walk to a cable car which costs 7 Euro and takes you to the bridge. Gaia (where the Rebello is situated) seems more upmarket and it’s the historic side near Douro Marina and the many Port making areas. We spent three nights at this hotel for our wedding anniversary. We had such a great stay at the Rebello with our 2 young kids. I was nervous about the location at first, but our stay more than made up for that. We had an amazing 2 bedroom 2 bathroom suite with a river view and it was incredible. The rooms were amazingly darkened with blackout shades and the beds were comfortable. We had a ton of space for our stroller and all our stuff. They provided a comfortable crib for my young toddler. The staff were super friendly and helpful. They helped us park our car and answered any questions we had. The breakfast was included and was delicious- a perfect way to start our busy days in Porto. The location was walkable still to the main part of Porto although a little longer across the bridge. However, we did take the Douro river ferry a few times to shortcut across the river and this worked out great. Would highly highly recommend this place!!!

Outstanding location, professional and friendly staff, comfortable rooms with outstanding views if you overlook the river. Enjoyed the pool and sauna too.

We stayed at this beautifully designed hotel in Porto and were impressed by the breathtaking view over the river, Gaia, and the city itself. The interior design is tasteful and modern, and we appreciated the sense of privacy throughout the property. However, a few details fell short of expectations. Service was friendly but noticeably slow across multiple touchpoints. Additionally, while the room was generally clean, we found some hair from a previous guest – something that should not happen at an SLH-standard hotel. Overall, a solid stay with great potential, but some service and cleanliness issues should be addressed.

Friendly, funky, fabulous location- The Rebello was a delight for a long weekend in Porto. Easy walk over to Porto from Gaia especially after a delicious breakfast or drink from the rooftop bar. Could also relax in the Spa or plunge in the pool after wondering. I can’t imagine staying anywhere more perfect if going to Porto.

I fear The Rebello has spoiled us for other hotels. This place is amazing!! The staff was so genuinely friendly and helpful - even picking up and playing along with our (probably bad) jokes! 😂. Our room with the window seats overlooking the Douro River … honestly, magical. Worth the extra cost! It seems that every detail was thought of. And last I can’t go without mention The Rooftop bar and restaurant. The views are almost too beautiful to describe! They deserve ALLL the stars - and more!
