Can only be positivisme about the view

I was basically dumped at my room with no information. The sofa was disgustingly stained with holes. The place smelled terrible.

The view was great. The cabin was cozy. The staff were very attentive and responded quickly to any requests. Whenever we needed a ride, they available immediately.

There is no insulation whatsoever, so you are awake with the roosters ( and there are a lot of roosters) at 4:30 am. You can hear the people in neighbouring units talking clearly. The toilet leaked, which left an odour. The mattress was dirty. The hot water worked for about 2 minutes and then quit.

The views are amazing! The staff are so friendly and so helpful, will take you anywhere you need, 2 minute walk from black lava camp which is good for breakfast,dinner etc with an amazing view. Would stay again

The toilet leaked and the bathroom smelt pretty bad, had to have the door closed to try hide it but that’s the only downside

Amazing view. House concept, minimal.

Don't even know where the reception is. Very hard to communicate with staff (no english) Cold place, bring very warm clothes. Hot water for bath only lasts 3 minutes. Much noise from surroundings. Local guides refuse to pick you up for trek as the access for the hotel is a very bad one only accessible from jeep. Hotel try to sell super overpriced trek tours. when asked for help for alternatives, refused and insisted on selling their own private tours.

The property has a good view of Mount Batur. It is a well designed and attractive cabin with glass that allows you to see the mountain.

In front of our cabin, the view was a bit spoiled by above ground powerlines. It would be good if they bury those powerlines in front of the six cabins, to improve the view.

I like the design and the scenery with mount batur

We stayed here for the Mount Batur hike. The view was AMAZING and hotel staff were lovely and fast responses via WhatsApp. Hotel arranged for our hike, hot springs and coffee plantation tour - very good tour guide. Black lava camp restaurant was a few minutes walk with great food and views also. The fan in the room is very powerful - we only had it on setting 1! Would stay and recommend here again for those who are doing the hike.

I feel the hotel has so much more potential and could be improved by - it was very dusty (we had to clean our fan before using), stairs were dusty and bathroom unclean (the toilet and sink were ok). There’s no netting on the doors - we had to deal with 3 massive hornets because of this and often having to close the door which was a shame. We had to message the hotel to find out about breakfast - this info wasn’t given upon check in. The gardens are shared which is fine but we thought it be more private, alongside you can hear other conversations from guests outside your room

The views of Mt Batur were amazing

The drive from the main road was bumpy, we didn’t want to travel the road too much, so stayed at the hotel for a quiet day.
