You get what you pay for I guess, but i expected more particularly in this market at this price. The boat is well presented, clean and comfortable. The food leaves a little to be desired and was underwhelming particularly given the 'north' prides itself on its food. The scenery is still spectacular as it is a Uneaco world heritage area and waking up to it is wonderful. We where unaware this is very much a scheduled tour, you will be woken by 7am (if not already awake - and you will have missed breakfast) with announcements that departure is at 7:15 and the rest of your tour is times out with virtually no time to enjoy the boat and its vistas. It really is a extended glorified day tour packed with things to go and do.

Lack of information and transparency: If you are doing the two nights the second day will not be spent on the boat as you will be put onto a day cruise of activities while the boat returns the one night passengers back to port. The day trip include a pearl farm tour, this is also something you would have done the day before when the bus transfer from Hanoi also stops for you to be able to buy pearls (it all seems a little pushy). Everything costs, if you are offered water, its costs, if you are offered coffee (outside of breakfast it costs). The day tour is the same with even charging for water. All costs are in USD $ (coffee $3usd, beer $5usd.. ) If you are staying a second night they don't service your room and you are hustling presented with a clean towel when you climb back aboard the boat after your day's activities. You can hear every word spoken in the neighbouring cabins and I would hate to have drawn the short straw of a room above the engine room at the rear. There is a real language barrier with staff on this boat unfortunately and information is not readily shared. The transfers include extended wait times and its not as smooth as one would expect for the money. Is it value for money? I think not, but it is still something you must see

Cruise ship was nice, excellent cruise manager and his staff, food was good as well, staff was little bit too pushy to sell you oberpriced drinks.

Tutto! L accoglienza fantastica! Tutto lo staff super gentile e disponibile. Cibo abbondante e di ottima qualità, c'è diversa scelta fra cibi locali e proposte più continentali. Le camere super pulite eh anche i spazi comuni! Sono davvero soddisfatta e stra consiglio questa crociera. Anche le escursioni molto ben organizzate e affascinanti!
