Pros. Easy access to the beach. Quiet. Comfortable beds. Cons. Small bathroom. No counter space in the kitchen. On the whole I would stay there again.

Right on beach. Cottage was very clean when we arrived....kitchen contained every gadget/assessory imaginable! Great communication!

Been going there for 40 some years on and off and enjoyed every trip. Nothing fancy, but very comfortable, friendly, and accessible to everything. Love it!
This is going to be long. I saw reviews that were favorable so I took a chance not staying in a chain like I would normally do, never again. This place is stuck in decades of the past, way past. We stayed in a room that has 2 window units for A/C, so we were either freezing or hot, no happy medium. The mattresses must not have been replaced in 10+ years. There has not been any remodeling (modernize) this room in decades. The tub & shower showed signs of wear because the pain/porcleain was worn off in spots. The interior of the bathroom had unfinished wood for the door & moulding (not good for a room that gets very humid). There was no fan in the bathroom either. The sink was outside the toilet & tub area. There was no trash can in this area, very inconvenient. We had to hunt for the linens because they were not visible. Why would you store them under the sink (cabinets with doors). Toilet paper was stored way in the back of the cabinet & appeared to have been there awhile. They had either gotten wet of just become dry rotten. I discarded many layers before use. The fridge was very small. The trash can in the sleeping area was the size you would see in a kitchen. We stayed nights & not once did we get a cleaning service!! The trash was overflowing by the time we left. I could not believe they had the nerve to leave an envelope looking to tip the cleaning staff. I would never stay there again. We never checked in or out because the office staff only works 9am-5pm!
The cottages look quaint from the outside but are very dated on the inside. Old noisy air conditioner, a ceiling fan that could only be adjusted on "high" setting or off, a mattress that has seen better days, touch sensitive lamps (one didn't work), tiny bathroom, wood paneling, 1960's ceiling tiles. On a positive note, nice location & close access to the beach. Prior reviews on Expedia were very positive so I thought this would be a nice place to stay. Overall, you get what you pay for. It was cheaper than other options but not sure I would stay again.
3rd time staying here and plan to many more times. It’s perfect and has everything you need
Older Nags Head property. Nothing fancy but has everything you need in the Economy Studio Suite. Enjoyed our stay. Nice pool area. Short walk to oceanfront. Pet friendly appreciated. Rooms spacious and kitchen well equipped with large fridge freezer we loved. Economical.
