Hotel Ankaa - Adults Only

Lovely hotel for couples. Extremely clean and staff always happy to help with a friendly smile. Food was tasty but could have been hotter. Lovely surprise to find a bottle of cava in the room for my birthday, muchas gracias. Overall a lovely time. Started to get rowdy on our last full day with a large part arriving but that isn't any fault of the hotel. Not quite four star but well on the way to getting there.

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour, l’hôtel est plutôt bien placer, il est possible d’aller à Porto Cristo directement à pied et les grottes du Darch sont juste en fasse. Il y a également une épicerie à coté pratique pour les achats de dépannage. Dans l’ensemble l’hôtel était bien, malheureusement en demi pension l’eau potable est payante, même lors des repas. Au petit déjeuner elle est disponible mais elle a un fort goût de javel. Le ménage est plutôt bien, même si le ménage du sol n’était pas toujours fait. La piscine et l’espace extérieur est très agréable et très calme.

The food was very pricey for the hotel. The bed was very comfy. The staff were kind when I saw them but there didn’t seem to be many people working. The pool was great, but had big clumps of hair in the bottom. Overall a wonderful experience.

The hotel is beautiful! Located near the Rafael Nadal Museum. The rooms are beautiful, renovated, and clean. The hotel staff is incredibly friendly. The surroundings and location, close to the beach and restaurants, are delightful. holidays are like a dream in this place 🥰

We stayed 12/7 to 19/7 at this lovely clean relaxing hotel in a quiet location with , great pool and sun bed area, beach towels provided , no loud music blaring out .Our room was very clean and bedding changed frequently, towels every day, my only complaint regarding the room , (404) there were no drawers to put anything and the bathroom was a bit shabby but had an amazing rain shower. All the staff were very friendly and so helpful at all times nothing was too much trouble . We were half board , breakfasts were amazing with a choice of freshly cooked items, evening dinner was equally as good . I’m a very fussy eater but always something on the menu . Tuesday evening the entertainment was a a great soul singer and a BBQ evening on the Friday before we left was fab, ( the chef did an amazing job in 26 degrees + heat.). We would definitely recommend this hotel for a relaxing time away and look forward to returning .

The hotel is in a great location, just outside the town so it is quiet but doesn't take long to walk in. All staff were very helpful, especially the lady on reception. The pool area was good - no stress of getting a sunbed. There is a mix of sunbeds and cabanas. Pool bar was a little pricey for soft drinks but the wine and beer was reasonable. The pool wasn't hot like some have described when we stayed - it is not freezing cold but a nice temperature for us, enough to cool us down but not hard to get in. The bathroom could be improved with the door not closing properly but apart from that the room was great. Cleaned everyday, fresh towels and a lovely balcony (pool side gets to see the great sunsets). The rooms also have great air-conditioning. Breakfast was good, constantly topped up, fresh pancakes made to order (as well as omelettes and fried eggs). Dinner was good, although a few more veggie options on some nights would have been appreciated. I would recommend hiring a car - we had a nightmare with buses and taxis (although from what I have heard that may have just been that week and we got unlucky). The caves are so close they are definitely worth a visit, although they were a lot busier than we expected (If you can, go to the far side when watching the music show for the better view). Overall, the hotel was good, staff really boost the experience. It is not a luxury hotel but it also does not claim to be. Our experience was that it is clean, in a great location and no sun-bed wars which I don't think can be overstated how much that improves a holiday experience. We often went out for the day and came back mid-afternoon and never had an issue.

I am writing this review to express my amazement at reviewers who have described this hotel as " wonderful " or " fantastic ". The paintwork in my room was stained, scrapped and peeling. The curtain covering the balcony door was grubby. The bathroom was the size of an medium sized closet. The shower screen leaked, flooding the floor. The sink was so small, it couldn't be used without overflowing onto the floor. There wasn't even a shelf in the bathroom or any storage space for essential personal items. The main pool outside was warm , with hosepipes running cold water into it, in an attempt to cool it down. The sides of the pool were covered in green slime. There were dead flies, insects and debris from trees floating on top of the water. The small plunge pool on the outside upper level was also unusable due to green slime and bird poo along the edges. The main outside eating area suffered from bird poo. It was everywhere. On the tables, on the clultery and inside the drinks menus. Most of the staff put on brave faces and met their responsibilities in a pleasant, helpful manner.

We really enjoyed our time. The team were warm and attentive. The updated outdoor spaces are a big plus. Everything felt easy and relaxing. Great time!
