Nobu Hotel San Sebastián

I stayed here with my husband and we loved everything about it. The room was clean, quiet, and had a beautiful view. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The location is just perfect. Breakfast was fresh and tasty. We would definitely come back!.

Great location

For a hotel that pitches itself at the top of the market (circa £1000 / night) this was a real disappointment. The service was terrible. Food was cold. We had to go and get food and drinks ourselves. Our room was 3m wide. The gym is tiny, as is the pool. There are four sunbeds and four chairs on the pool deck. The public area consists of a corridor with a tiny table and two office chairs. I appreciate the constraints of a city-centre hotel but this is ridiculous - Nobu shouldn't put their name to this.

Upon checking in to room 103, there was a strong smell of sewage. Upon calling the front desk, we were rudely told that there were no options and that we could not cancel the reservation and would have to accept the strong sewage smell. After contacting our travel agent, they did come up to the room and used an obnoxious amount of Pine-sol to cover up the smell. While we could no longer smell the sewage, we were left in a room with a terrible smell until about 3am when were again woken up by the terrible smell of sewage. We were moved to the third floor the following day but for a room that costs $1000 euros a day, it was a huge disappointment. The staff was less than accommodating and actually quite rude. The property is in a great location and we were looking forward to staying here for months. Unfortunately, the sewage and the service stinks.

We had an incredible stay at Nobu Hotel San Sebastián. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, professional, and thoughtful without ever feeling overbearing. The design of the hotel is stunning—elegant, modern, and perfectly in harmony with the coastal surroundings. Our room had sweeping views of La Concha Bay, and waking up to that panorama every morning was unforgettable. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and every detail—from lighting to amenities—was clearly considered with care. The on-site Nobu restaurant lived up to the name. Creative, beautifully presented dishes and attentive staff made for a standout dining experience. Even the breakfast was a highlight, with a buffet selection that felt both indulgent and healthy. Location-wise, it's perfectly situated: close enough to walk to the Old Town and the beach promenade, but just removed enough to feel calm and exclusive. Highly recommend for couples, design lovers, and anyone looking for a refined yet relaxed experience in San Sebastián. We can't wait to return.

The hotel itself is nice. The rooms are quite small but comfortable enough. I was staying by myself so I think if I had a second person in there it would have felt very cramped. The location of the hotel is beautiful. Across from the ocean and easily walkable to old town and the center of San Sebastián. Nobu the restaurant was mediocre compared to the other branches in the world. Definitely not up to par with the Miami one which is where I’m from. I definitely would not return or stay at another Nobu hotel though based off this experience. The hotel staff was shockingly unfriendly. It was like they couldn’t be bothered. Even when you walked by them they wouldn’t say hello or anything. It was very strange. Concierge was not helpful at all and the food recommendations we were given in person were laughable. You’re in Michelin star city and were told to try “Mama Mia” for Italian food. Please, look the place up. Even at check out no one asked anything about the stay. Zilch. Breakfast staff were the best of the bunch. Always in a good mood and helpful and on point. They definitely hussle. They should be swapped out for the front desk staff because i had never experienced anything like this. I must point out that the gentlemen who handle the suitcases were all helpful and attentive.

Room service for breakfast wasn’t accessible via phone so we had to order at main reception.

Wonderful staff! They took care of our transfers, made dinner reservations in amazing restaurants and arranged a delicious Pintxos tour. Great rooms and location. Cozy pool and great sushi.

Not particularly special. Would definitely not stay here again.
