Shelbourne Boutique Lodge

Shelbourne lodge went out their way for us, made a beautiful romantic dinner ! Food was amazing! And the service was wonderful! We love it ! Will surly visit again ! Monkey family came to visit us as well which was very beautiful and cute

Lovely guest house with comfortable amenities, a good breakfast and friendly staff. Great for a short weekend visit or home base for a longer stay.

The room was clean. Wonderfull staff. Breakfast was excellent on that 1st morning.

Upon arrival the pool was dirty and that was a red flag for us.As this was a family holiday we traveled from jhb and it's was hot. The owner didn't want us to go in our room until we made a full payment and we felt like we being treated like criminals. Aircon was not working in kids room. Following day there was no electricity and we demanded a refund and the owner refused ,so we asked to be moved to a different room even offered to pay a balance for a better room and he refused. In thee end we ended up leaving the premises . They send us a whatsapp saying that they will give is credit for the reminder x4 nights that was left. We were very angry and frustrated 😠

Beautiful location very refreshing,friendly staff I was helped by Gugu our room room was clean.

Electricity switched off the almost 3-4 hours generator was an alternative just for lights,in these high summer temperatures we had to try and sleep with no aircon working.Couldn’t even open the window as monkeys are a problem,also try to atleast give each guest a gate remote I struggled to check out at 06:00 beacuse gate was closed and no one had said anything about it and I called no one answered until I luckily bumped into the owner who opened it manually for us.

Very warm welcome from Gugu. She and the rest of the staff were very helpful. Big and comfortable bed and very good aircondition. The lock at the door was a hassle. The place itself is very nice but needs some attention. The outdoor furniture are worn out and need a replacement. Parking ist also not so easy.
