"Would be lucky to be a 2 star hotel it is definitely not a 3 - will not recommend or be staying again"

Location

Not clean - dust/dirt & cobwebs everywhere in room - curtains falling off wallpaper & paint peeling away - floor in bathroom unstable-extremely uncomfortable mattress that has obviously seen better days - although our sheets were clean …….another guest had bed bugs in their bed!!! & after showing staff photo proof they were refunded their money Complimentary tea/coffee had no stirrers (albeit a cheap solution to spoons but were not available)

No cooked breakfast as shown on the photos on there advertiment on here its false advertiment it was only toast cereal and fruit very disappointing I am not happy loud tv all night really dirty milk jug at breakfast

AVOID. AVOID. AVOID. AVOID. I arrived to be told my booking was cancelled but I could book another room. So I have paid twice for 1 room. Now neither booking.com or the ivy Hotel want to take responsibility and issue a refund. When either of them issue a refund I will remove this review.

"Probs wouldn't stay again."

Five minutes from all the skeggy entertainment but quieter at night. Staff allowed me to leave my bags with them so we could go to beach before train home. Clean bed and room had a fan in.

No hot water in shower, units and sides was knackered with holes in. Base of shower looked like it was falling apart. Bed not very comfy. Breakfast was just toast and cereal serial.

"Not the right fit for us so we won’t be returning."

Checked in late but we were greeted at the door by a friendly member of staff.

The room was very dated and just felt grubby. There were a lot of stains on the walls. It was very hot in the room so sleeping was very uncomfortable. Breakfast wasn’t suitable for dietary requirements. As a single parent travelling with my child, I didn’t feel safe in the hotel- this could be personal opinion but we were very glad to lock the door to the room and leave as soon as we woke up.
