Only stayed one night. Everything was okay until two drunk guys next room banged their door at and started to watch at 2 am with lots of loud commentary. The wall was quite thin. The

Our stay was good and the staff were very friendly and helpful

Arrived 10 minutes early our room was not ready , we asked if we could wait in the bar - the receptionist had to leave the desk to serve us , the car park was awful , felt it was safer to leave car on the main road . When we were allowed to check in was told to make sure you shut the gate on the lift otherwise I will have to go up and close it .And make sure you use the top look on the door , I felt like I was being given a list of rules. The Guy at the desk said restaurant opened at 5pm but was immediately corrected by another member of staff of said No food tonight — didn’t suggest anywhere else to eat. Room was ok small , dirty carpet and very hot the bathroom was large , shower awful, water went everywhere, no shower mat , non slip or towel which made the floor dangerous.Walls so thing we could hear everything from the room next door Apparently a dog friendly ( I wouldn’t have booked if I had known) dogs barking at night. Breakfast was a strange affair, food didn’t have any flavour, Wasn’t even asked on checkout how our stay was , customer service needs something to be desired. Worst hotel I’ve every stayed in

Very good and excellent value, a 1 mile walk to town is very pleasant, the local community of Bare is close by with shops & pubs.

Very friendly staff. Unfortunately rooms not up to standard. Mattress awful. Rooms and onsuite need a big freshen up. Walls dirty in places. Need painted. Serving staff apron disgusting. Especially when dealing with the public who are paying to stay at this very tired establishment. We will not be staying here again

Dog friendly, which suited us. Asked for an iron at about 5pm, then again about 9pm. At 11.35pm we were very loudly knocked awake from our sleep by the delivery of the iron - not impressed!!! Room small and very hot in the lovely summer weather so we decided to go and buy a liitle fan - sorted. The breakfast was nice. Food plentiful. Evening meal - mine okay but my husband's steak wasn't nice. They charged us twice once via their website and then on arrival but did refund us when the realised. Rarely anyone at the bar when we wanted a drink. There was an issue with the sink in the bathroom just before we left and we let them know so hopefully sorted for the next person.

The staff are really friendly but just a little too for my liking! I was checking in with a small child and there was a conversation between the staff and the Language was a little colourful. The Hotel needs quiet a lot of money spending on it stained and missing ceiling tiles in the bar area the a/c didn’t look as if it had been cleaned for quite some time as did the carpets . The lift was very old and rickety but at least it worked. Our room was relatively clean . I checked the bedding immediately. But the carpet needs a clean was glad I packed slippers one of the curtains was hanging off the rail and no mirror at the dressing table. The bathroom definitely needs attention and the shower over the bath was useless the flooring was extremely slippy when wet . Such a shame as good location but wouldn’t book again certainly not worth a visit .

Food was very good, reasonably priced and generous servings. The hotel is in need of decoration and repairs. We stayed one night and it was OK for our needs. Seemed very short staffed and room not ready on arrival.

It was a pleasing stay with what I needed in the room even if only an (older) shower rather than a bath. It’d be a shame if it were destroyed for a taller apart hotel block seen on a notice opposite the current hotel. Although I didn’t opt for breakfast - needed to save money - the bacon smelt amazing in the morning!
