Great hotel, very smart friendly staff and in a very central location for Stroud highly recommend Recomended Would stay here again Bedroom was tidy and clean All the staff very professional and highly recommended Have run out of things to say to meet my two characters

Excellent location in centre of town and right beside train station. Rooms clean and comfortable with brilliant views of surrounding countryside Also not noisy at night. Staff courteous and helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. Will definitely come again.

What a find! Perfectly located , right by the station and with the town shops on the other side. This hotel has a homely feel with friendly, happy and conscientious staff. The food was delicious and perfectly adapted for dietary needs. The room was spacious with big, fluffy towels and a most comfortable bed.The tv in the room had access to I player and ITV X. The historic building has been renovated with a modern but stylish rustic feel. Will surely be back, as apart from the great first impression, they also have dog friendly rooms and we frequently travel with our dog. I wish the team the best of luck with this relatively new venture.

My stay at The Stroud Hotel couldn't have been better. Its central location with small car park met my need, and the friendly welcome set things of nicely. The room was spacious and clean, well appointed with a modern feel yet befitting exactly the kind of hotel you'd find in a local station hotel in the Cotswolds. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom large and very clean. The bar was excellent with great food and drink, and at reasonable prices. I particularly enjoyed the jalapeno croquettes and the veggie breakfast. Coffee was also spot on for a morning boost. All in all, absolutely gorgeous hotel with service to match at a price that doesn't break the bank. Next time I'm in Gloucestershire, I'll be staying here rather than at the P****** I** or that other dirty chain...

The food was absolutely awful, the worst food I’ve eaten in a long time, the soufflé starter was burnt, the tomatoe pasta dish really was terrible with big chunks of celery In it, no sauce and too much pasta, my husband had fish and chips tie chips we’re not cooked properly and the fish has very thick batter on, and for 4 starters and 4 main meals, some wine and 4 pints the cost was £250 !! U was to traumatised to complain. !

What a fantastic hotel. We were here for one night on a tour of the Cotswolds but wish we had been here longer. Traditional hotel in the centre of town , so wonderfully located for exploring and with free parking. The hotel has been renovated to a very high standard and the rooms are really good. Very personable and helpful manager and great staff. Highly recommended - as Michelin would say “worth a detour”.

Room service no phone so had to go down two flights of stairs no one at reception no clean towels or water very noisy from outside and had to pay for car park as hotel one only has few spaces went to shop instead of room service only over rd bit if I cld ring from room wld of had hotel food ??

My girlfriend and I had a very lovely stay. The room was clean, comfortable and homely. The staff were wonderful, especially the general manager Mike and deputy Curtis who brought joy to our mornings with their cheerful attitudes at breakfast, which was delicious, it's definitely worth it to have the breakfast included (try the crab crumpets). We also had dinner at the hotel on our first night, which was great. Location-wise, it's a short drive from a lot of lovely areas in the Cotswolds so perfect for a couples getaway.
