"Amazing food and excellent coffee!!"

This place just opened 2 days ago and the coffee and food is incredible. We met the 22 year old chef called Rajesh, who cooks like an experienced chef of many years. Food tastes like the real deal and the coffee was excellent too. Service and bar staff were great. In particular Gimhan and Ransara. This pace will be well known in time and we will return next time we’re in Colombo.

"OK but not really a 5 star experience"

We booked a last minute room here as we ended up getting stranded in Colombo for 2 unexpected nights due to the cyclone which hit central Sri Lanka on 28 November as the boutique hotel which we started at when we arrived in Colombo was unfortunately full on the days that we wanted to extend our stay, so we thought that the Sheraton was the best option as we wanted a luxury hotel. The check in staff were good (in fact they ended up upgrading us to a junior suite which was very nice) but the Guest Services staff were not great - every time I called for something, it either didn't arrive or it took hours. The Guest Services team desparately needs some training on customer service. The buffet breakfast was OK but felt like a typical hotel chain kind of breakfast - quality of some items were average. The bedroom itself was very nice and the bedding was good, however the duvet cover was polyester (!) despite the sheets and pillowcases being cotton, so we just slept under a sheet as it was impossible to sleep under a polyester duvet cover - this was very disappointing for a 5 star hotel. The hotel in general felt very dated and tired and seemed to lack a bit of loving. The location of the hotel was also not that great.

Awesome C mas Lunch We had a delicious huge buffet spread on C mas day. Service was extremely good from the moment we stepped in till we left. Thank you to the smiling serving staff for making it an amazing C Mas lunch.. And v Special thanks to the Indian Chef and Paul for adding that extra service !
