Sheraton Colombo Hotel

We booked a last minute room here as we ended up getting stranded in Colombo for 2 unexpected nights due to the cyclone which hit central Sri Lanka on 28 November as the boutique hotel which we started at when we arrived in Colombo was unfortunately full on the days that we wanted to extend our stay, so we thought that the Sheraton was the best option as we wanted a luxury hotel. The check in staff were good (in fact they ended up upgrading us to a junior suite which was very nice) but the Guest Services staff were not great - every time I called for something, it either didn't arrive or it took hours. The Guest Services team desparately needs some training on customer service. The buffet breakfast was OK but felt like a typical hotel chain kind of breakfast - quality of some items were average. The bedroom itself was very nice and the bedding was good, however the duvet cover was polyester (!) despite the sheets and pillowcases being cotton, so we just slept under a sheet as it was impossible to sleep under a polyester duvet cover - this was very disappointing for a 5 star hotel.

We had a wonderful experience at Sheraton hotel, especially the dinner buffet. The variety of dishes was impressive, with something for everyone, and everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The dessert selection and the seafood corner was a highlight as well! The staff were attentive, friendly, and made sure guests felt comfortable throughout the evening. The overall atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a perfect place to enjoy a relaxed and satisfying meal. We had a wonderful stay at Sheraton Colombo, and the experience exceeded our expectations from start to finish. We chose this hotel based on strong reviews despite having several other options, and we are glad we did. A special thank you to Sandali at the reception, who kindly assisted us with an upgrade and handled everything with professionalism and warmth. Emil, the Front Desk Manager, was also excellent — very approachable and attentive, ensuring our stay was smooth and comfortable. The Club Room was modern, quiet, and very comfortable, with great views. The Executive Lounge was a standout feature — excellent ambiance and truly delicious food. Special recognition to Chef Priyenci and Sous Chef Sachithra for the outstanding quality of the food and for personally checking on guests. The Executive Lounge team, especially Kaveen, were incredibly helpful, attentive, and welcoming throughout our visit. Overall, Sheraton Colombo delivers on its promise of quality, service, and hospitality. Highly recommended, and we look forward to returning again.

We truly enjoyed tasting the delicious pasta prepared on 20th December 2025. It was our batch party. There was a stall to prepare pasta and seafood rice as well. The chef prepared the dishes while we were watching. It was amazing. He could prepare them within a few minutes right in front of us.

Limited food choice in roof top restaurant. But chef came personnally and cooked good alternatives . Breakfast: medium Quality on some food (the continental options), but this is usual in asia

This hotel was fantastic! The staff, especially Ms.Thekshana and Mr.Niroshan , were incredibly welcoming and helped us to arrange our event successfully. We hosted our Annual Christmas party here, and everything exceeded expectations. The hall was elegant, the tech support was flawless, and the staff ensured seamless service all evening. A truly 5-star experience I would like to thank Culinary -Chef Nikhil, ineethan, Vimukthi,Anuranga and for Service-Vishan,Gayashan and Adhipa. Highly Recommended! x
