Beautiful Edwardian Central Oxford home

The house is OK, especially for a short stay. Bedrooms are OK and the location is good - 15 minutes walking from High Street.

The house is a typical old English building - single pain windows (cold and noise), small rooms and generally not very comfortable. The house requires a lot of refurbishing until it meets expected standards. Don't expect to park on the street - there are few places, but they are for short stay - one or three hours. The internet around was very week and I was not able to open my e-mail to retrieve the code for the keys. Write it down somewhere in advance.

Unser schlechter Start: Der Vormieter muss eine Katastrophe gewesen sein und das Reinigungsteam hat manch Ekliges übersehen. Und weil wir gleich mit dieser Erfahrung gestartet sind, habe wir etwas genauer hingesehen: liebloser Allgemeinzustand: - mittelmäßig geputzt: Dreck, Müll und Haarbüschel unter den Betten - die wenigstens Fenster lasse sich öffnen; überall Spinnennetzte und ungeputzte Fenster - Wohnzimmer: ein kaputter Tisch liegt hinter der Couch, sicher nicht erst seit gestern - Küche: warum räumt die total vertrocknete Pflanzen keiner weg? - Garten: die Brennnesseln waschen hüfthoch - Kinderzimmer: Vorhang lässt sich nicht hochziehen - Badezimmer tropft der Wasserhahn, die Farbe blättert von der Tür und der Seifenspender funktioniert auch nicht - Esszimmer: die Lampe ist so dunkel das man kaum essen kann. wenigstens sieht man so die Spinnennetze und den Staub im Lampenschirm weniger. - Und warum liegt der Feuerlöscher hinter dem Kühlschrank? schlechte Erreichbarkeit: Beide Telefonnummern waren nicht zu erreichen. Der Emailkontakt ist freundlich, aber zäh. Es wird binnen 60min geantwortet; so ist keine Kommunikation möglich geringe Lösungsorientierung: Es fehlte ein Bettbezug, worüber Uneinigkeit entstand, ob im Zimmer 3 (Stockbett und Einzelbett) drei Personen schlafen können!? Aber die Möglichkeiten sind vorhanden und auch die Beschreibung ist eindeutig!? Nach zähem hin-und-her wurde dann am nächsten Tag ein Bettbezug gebracht. Solange musste ein Kind unter Handtüchern schlafen; keine schöne Erfahrung.

Property is older and you need to be prepared for that. Heat was not for the season on yet.

Lovely stay. The property is in a great central area, the room was tidy and fresh, and I appreciated how well it was maintained. Definitely recommend.

This is the third year we have stayed here. Whilst not a new house - it has all of the amenities we require. The rooms are comfortable. The kitchen well equipped. 10 min walk into the old hub of Oxford. 2 mins to the busy Cowley road with restaurants and bars. The house is very very clean.

Location was great. A short walk from the Heathrow airline bus to & from the airport. Some nice places to eat close by. Only about a 10-15 minute walk to Oxford center and all it's sights.

Some "what to do in Oxford" brochures would have been nice.
