Very unhappy that I had to pay an extra £25.00 to get the keys

I asked if we could use a second car parking space if the other accommodation was not in use. Was told no but the spaces remained empty the whole time. Ended up spending an extra £22.00 on parking

Excellent property for a family weekend away, we really liked it, good location

The house was perfect. It was well equipped with everything we needed... there were plenty of towels and kitchen utensils, etc.. Everything was clean and very homely. We were able to cook a few dinners during our stay. The location was great, and being able to sign into Netflix and other streaming services was a nice bonus.

The only criticism was that the 2 ground floor bedrooms could have done with blackout blinds in them. When the sun was rising at 4am the bedrooms were so bright it was waking us up.

Beautiful house. Great that 2 bedrooms had ensuites and the other has use of the bathroom. It was very spacious , clean and lovely.

Very easy to walk to all the main areas of Whitby.

Paying extra for insurance, not so much paying, but the mail got lost at the end of other mails and I only realised a couple of days before we went. Would be better if it was part of the up front cost.

The apartment was lovely, good location and well equipped.

The insurance was a surprise -I have not experienced this with any property on booking.com anywhere in the world. Paying £250 upfront and receiving £240 back meant an extra £10 to factor into the cost of the place. Worse was that it took 2 weeks to return £240 which means the company is making a lot of interest on the funds they are holding - checking the property should take no more than an hour on the day of departure so it is hard to justify hanging on to this money for 2 weeks. Also the website encouraged us to travel by EV, the parking space had a charger and this is clearly shown on the website but when we arrived we discovered that we were not allowed to use it. This meant we had to find a charger elsewhere and there were not many in the town - this feels like mis-information and was very disappointing.

An extra set of keys would be good as our party went to 2 different places at one time We couldn’t get hob to work - got it turned on but could get the hob sections to heat up - an instruction manual would be good
