Free and available parking, very good value room. Cool property - old, big, interesting!

The set up wasn’t clear so seems a bit weird / spooky when you rock up. Could be better sign posted once you get off the main road as I wasn’t sure I was driving the right way. Then if you know that the house is owned and lived in by a family but you are renting one of the rooms the set up makes sense. Don’t think of it as a hotel, more an Airbnb room. WiFi did not work but we were staying one night only and not for work so was fine with my mobile data

J'ai vu les commentaires et j'étais dubitatif. Mais en réalité foncez ! C'est un vrai dépaysement. La maison est magnifique. Les chambre pratiques et propres. L'extérieur est charmant. Après, oui, internet ... faites un effort prenez un abonnement illimité. Parce que 50 Go par mois sur la petite box 4G pour tous les occupants pendant 1 mois... on est arrivé le 16 il n'y avait déjà plus aucun Go dispo sur la box jusqu'au 15 du mois d'après. Donc tout le monde va venir et n'aura plus du tout internet pendant un mois.

No restaurants nearby. Bathtub entry was hazardous without grab bars. No lift available. Staff not available. Wi-Fi only available in communal area Non refundable booking forced me to stay.

A gorgeous estate to escape from busy Edinburgh. Access to huge (shared) kitchen, sitting room and game room, beautifully decorated. Exceptionally nice staff, who were happy to help us with anything we needed, even with a little problem where a shop left the security alarm on a piece of clothing we’d purchased. Beautiful, comfortable room with a forest view.

Wifi was sometimes a little bit spotty in the bedroom, but this was an issue that the staff were aware of, and was working on to fix in the future.

Stay was very unique and cozy, and the staff was as nice as could be during the stay. Its a very old building, so you can hear all the neighbors rather easily, especially early in the morning. When researched online, I saw the town was about 25 minutes from Edinburgh, which seemed reasonable for getting rides or taking the train. However, finding taxis and Ubers to and from the the city proved more difficult. If you're looking to go to the city, I wouldn't recommend staying here. If you're looking for a quiet stay away, it would be very pleasant

schönes altes Landhaus, etwas abgelegen von der Straße. Entfernung zu Edinburgh etwa 20 Minuten mit dem Auto, in der Nähe gibt es auch eine unkomplizierte Zug Anbindung. Die Einrichtung ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber das passt! Es gibt eine große, schöne Küche (mit Kaffee und Gewürzen) und ein gemütliches Wohnzimmer. WLAN gibt es tatsächlich nur im Erdgeschoss und das auch eingeschränkt.

Nothing ! We Never got into the Building ! Supposed to be some mix up with Booking.com and Overbooking ????

No telephone communication with the owner. He eventually turned up on site. Blamed Booking.com for everything! We were given alternative accommodation at nearly 7.00 pm which was miles away and totally unsuitable. It was a town house, totally rundown with very poor facilities and NO car parking.
