Guest Suite at The Grand Hotel

The beds were clean

No staff in sight except to hand keys to for check in! The reception was very untidy and dirty, empty boxes and dead flowers on counter the duration of our 3 night stay….no one on sight to help with anything, emergency number to call straight to answer phone. Room not cleaned once, no Hoover or sweep to even do it ourselves, floors became very bitty and sandy…. No check out method instructions, smell of splifs in hallways, dinted (punch marks) in doors fridge dented to hell….took £150 deposit so why are these things not seen to?oh and curtains don’t fit windows too small

Room numbers were incorrect. No staff on duty in the evening. Hotel doors literally left wide open 24 hrs a day with no locks to stop people getting to the rooms. Stunk of canabis

Waited for a long time in reception for staff. Kept ringing the bell. Ended up calling the hotel chain that is based in Kettering, for them to notify a member of staff someone was waiting to check in. Breakfast was cancelled days before the visit, and I'm still waiting for a refund. Also, they charged a full security position of £150 instead of putting my card details on hold. I'm still waiting for that to be refunded as well. There were punch holes in one of the bedroom doors, and the kettle handle was split and broken to the point that when you grabbed the handle, it pinched and cut skin. Went to reception, no one there again. Wasn't waiting around like I did trying to check in.
