Southwell Stays

We needed a location near to Southwell Minster just for one night and this was perfect. The rooms in the accommodation were very good. We would consider returning in the future.

It would have been helpful if the property had been advertised as having a fridge, microwave and toaster as well as tea and coffee making facilities so that we could have brought bread, milk and cereal etc for breakfast.

It was clean, the kitchenette was useful.

The heating panel kept flashing on in the night throughout the night it disturbed sleep. Parking was tricky

Quiet and located very close to the Minster School where we were visiting. The room was warm with heating control and a good shower.

Access to the room with kitchenette is from a yard behind the houses on the main street. The yard had wheelie bins, and a washing machine and fridge freezer waiting to be disposed of. It was not what we expected from the description and photos. The bathroom had marks on the walls which need to be cleaned. The heating control lit up during the night and lit up the whole room.

Needs a heavier bed quilt for the winter!

I was staying overnight for an event nearby and this met my needs perfectly, it had everything I needed to make a quick meal (helps my expenses!). Lovely comfortable bed, big TV, good tea and coffee making facilities. Supermarket nearby and looks like a nice area for restaurants, cafes, shops, and of course the Minster, if I had been staying for pleasure.

Could do with some black out curtains as there was some sleep disturbance from street lights, and the light on the heating panel kept coming on, but minor niggles.

Convenient place to rest my head for a visit to my daughter, parking close by.

The automatic bathroom lighting switches off too quickly and a thicker duvet now the weather is colder would be appreciated. I would also suggest putting a stronger password, changed regularly, on your account. I had a very believable scam email asking for my creditcard cvc and giving all the details of my stay. If the money hadn't already been recorded as payed I might not have been so alert.
