The De La Vina Inn

Our recent stay in the Darcy Room at De La Vina Inn exceeded all expectations. The thoughtful combination of historic charm and modern comfort created an unforgettable experience. The king-sized bed was exceptionally comfortable, but what truly set this room apart was the luxurious bathtub and private terrace overlooking the front garden - perfect for enjoying morning coffee while listening to birds. The inn's location is ideal - we could easily walk to Santa Barbara's fantastic restaurants and attractions, yet the property felt like a peaceful retreat. The garden areas are beautifully maintained and create such a serene atmosphere. We particularly appreciated the secure keycode access system, which made coming and going effortless. What impressed us most was the attention to detail throughout the property. From the cozy common areas to the immaculately kept gardens, every aspect of De La Vina Inn has been carefully considered. The room itself struck a perfect balance between historic character and modern amenities, making our stay both authentic and comfortable. If you're looking for an intimate, charming alternative to larger hotels in Santa Barbara, the Darcy Room at De La Vina Inn is an absolute gem. We're already planning our next visit!

Beautiful property and lovely room !

Self check-in was great and the room was very nice. We had a homey feeling of luxury.

There wasn’t anyone physically present at the hotel, making it a little impersonal at times. This is however only a small thing, and we loved our stay here!

Great location, the inn was beautiful,historic, and clean. Easy to check in/out based in instructions and passcodes.

I looove how much they care about their service and their customers!!! Even before arriving I was already being asked about any accommodations or recommendations I needed. I felt really cared for and it added to the amazing experience. The location was amazing. It’s walking distance from downtown and other small shops around. I plan to come back later in the future.

Loved the historic nature of the Inn, and my room was big and lovely.

We stayed in the top floor and although the stairs were STEEP to the 3rd floor (almost ladderlike) it was worth it! STUNNING VIEWS from 2 different balconies. Great bathroom. Comfy bed. Even a fireplace in the room!

A gem of a little inn. Central location with lovely touches like the tranquil front and back gardens. Very clean and comfortable rooms and easily accessible car parking. This little gem exceeded our expectations and if we were frequent travelers to SB we would book here again.

Late check in and early check out times. The lack of staff on site also means you can't leave luggage anywhere if you arrive in town early.

so charming and cozy! Literally the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept on! Communication was excellent.

Parking was tight. Coffee and pastries available in the morning would have been a nice touch. It was a rather far walk to these amenities.
