The shower

I fancied a bath but without a plug a neat trick, no tv and the fact it was supposed to be a silent place the owner certainly had his tv very loud, luckily i was awake already or i would of kicked off

I really love the room, so comfy and clean! I would like to recommend people to stay here 😊

I liked how clean it was and organised but not as as I expected but still it was pretty good kitchen ,couch is shared room and bathroom is separated .

The place was very near the Apollo venue where I had gone to see a show that evening. It was a very clean room and the bed was comfy. I liked the sign on the door saying welcome, that was a nice touch.

I didn't like the being told what to do with certain things, for instance when I got there I had instructions to take my shoes off and wear their flip flops in the establishment. When i'm paying for somewhere I am always respectful anyway so would remove my footwear. I don't like being told what to do when I've paid to stay somewhere and thought this was a little much. The room didn't have a tv, it felt like I'd been sent to my room without supper, there was an aerial port so a TV would be possible. The room was one of 3 in the house, it didn't have a lock on the door when you went out so all you could do was use a padlock on the outer latch, with this on the door could still be partially opened, it wasn't secure enough. You were told that you couldn't have any food in the room at all either. The owner messaged loads of instruction videos via Whatsapp too which were informative but a little of an overload, all I needed really was one video about entering the property and one about reading the instruction manual which is on the bedroom table when you get there. The other thing was I wasn't sure if I was able to use tea and coffee facilities, I had none in the room, but in the downstairs kitchen there was a kettle and coffee sachets, I was uncertain if I could use these, there were signs all over saying items in the fridge weren't for guests, so felt like I wasn't allowed to have anything....far too regimental, I went on a Friday night break and to chill after a concert, thank heavens I have Netflix on my phone. The bin was full from a previous visitor and had not been emptied when I got there, I had to bin my rubbish in the kitchen bin when I left the following morning.

Location, tidiness and the house rules

No towels were provided, would have been nice after a long day's travel to have a shower

It was pretty cheap (but for a reason)

The location. But mainly the host and how he acted. He insisted I was supposed to put the key into an outside box. He then tried to charge me £450 through Trip Advisor to have the lock changed. I believe this is a scam, why would he not have a spare key if someone had done this? He was very rude and angry, also followed me to my car shouting at me. AVOID
