Pinfold Cottage York

The breakfast was very good and being able to choose our own breakfast time was ideal.

Nothing. Everything was up to expectations.

Everything was good

Location was great. And a charming place which was welcoming and maintained to an excellent standard. Not in the city centre, but this availed us of free parking. This allowed us to travel to the hotel conveniently by car, and then easy nearby public transport links meant we could just leave the car and commute to and from the city centre by bus - avoiding parking in York centre. Its on an arterial route into York, with bus stops immediately outside and its just a straight run into the city centre. That said, our room was really quiet, so you would never know. Great communication from the owners in the build up to our stay as well - very helpful with a personal touch.

No major issues at all. Tiny TINY thing: when you first arrive and you have your bags, there's not a lot of space to manoeuvre coming through the property... but it is a cottage, so not unexpected! Just something to bear in mind if, for example, you have mobility issues - but Jack (owner) was more than willing to help us with our bags even though we didn't require it.

Breakfast was good, plenty of it. Location excellent.

Struggled with the door locks.

Wonderful hosts, couldn’t do enough for us, electric charging point was a bonus after travelling up from the midlands, extremely helpful offering hints and tips regarding sightseeing and places to eat and drink, can’t speak highly enough of them, will definitely be back. Room had every amenity you needed, breakfast is an assortment of cereals, toast, pastries, yoghurts, fruits, hosts are always around to help if needed. Had a wonderful time 🤗

Noisy road

I had a wonderful stay at Pinfold Cottage in York. The cottage was spotless and beautifully maintained, with incredible attention to even the smallest details. It truly felt like a home away from home. The owners were exceptionally helpful and supportive, and their communication was excellent from start to finish. Everything about my stay was superb. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting York!

Great location, easy to either walk or get local bus into the city. Jack the host was really friendly and informative. Nothing was too much trouble. Lovely cottage.
