We stayed at Pinfold Cottage in York for three days and nights to celebrate our 37th Wedding Anniversary. We parked behind the cottage with no parking fees to pay. As soon as we arrived we was greeted at the front door by Ellie who was so nice and kind to us and asked us on how our journey was and giving us advise on things to see and do in York whilst we were visiting. She gave us a map of York and told us which buses take you to and from literally outside the cottage itself into York town centre, and things to see and visit. She showed us where breakfast was held in the mornings and also to our room and gave us the key. Our room was cosy and clean and we were very pleased with all the facilities it offered. In the morning we had a good choice of coffees and teas, cereals, breads, yogurt, milk, fruits etc.. which you can just help yourself as if you where at home. The owner Jack came and introduce himself to us and he was so kind and helpful on giving us any kind of information we needed to know, very friendly and chatting along as good friends. Thankyou so much Jack and Ellie for making us feel very welcome. We had such a good time and we will definitely recommend anyone who is looking to stay at this lovely cosy accomodation whilst being in York. We will definitely stay there again if ever we are to be in York. 10/10 xx

Pinfold Cottage is very well located just outside the city of York with free parking and located near to the bus stop so you can leave your car and take the bus into York. The host, Jack, was very friendly and extremely helpful and guided us on the correct bus to the city and great places to eat and drink. The accommodation is very clean with everything you need to hand, including naughty treats and snacks., Our room was spacious, comfortable, and very clean. Breakfast was continental with cereals, toast, croissants, and waffles, which was lovely.

We had a lovely stay at Pinfold Cottage, it was the ideal location to explore York accessible in less than 10 minutes drive, using buses that stopped right outside the property or via a beautiful 30 minute walk along the river. Jack and Ellie were amazing hosts, it was so lovely chatting to Jack every morning over breakfast, he was great at giving recommendations and felt like chatting to a friend. Breakfast was a great variety of continental options. We also really appreciated the snacks available and option to grab a take away coffee before heading out for the day. The rooms are a good size and the beds and pillows very comfy. We shall definitely be returning.

La atención de Jack fue espectacular nos ayudó en todo. Los desayunos completísimos, fruta, cereales, mermeladas riquísimas dulces, pan de varios tipos, espectacular. Con respecto a la ubicación, el B&B, aunque fuera de la ciudad, está muy bien comunicado con el centro por autobús que tiene la parada en la puerta. Parking gratuito.

La habitación es muy pequeña casi no había sitio ni para dejar las maletas. No limpian la habitación durante la estancia ni hacen la cama, nosotros estuvimos 3 noches. Pero lo peor fueron las escaleras, una escalera estrecha y bastante empinada, si bien Jack muy amablemente nos ayudó a subir las maletas, son bastante peligrosas. Si tienes algún problema de movilidad piénsatelo.

We booked Pinfold as a last minute treat for our 10th wedding anniversary and we had the best time. Jack welcomed us on arrival and has been so friendly and helpful for our entire trip. He give us his best recommendations and they did not disappoint. He greeted us every morning for breakfast and asked us about our day. Highly recommend this property! The town is a 40 minute walk. We chose to walk along the canal and was a lovely walk or alternatively you can get a cheap uber ride but also a bus stops literally outside the property. York city centre did not disappoint either, what a beautiful town. Plenty of history, shops, food & drink, live music and lovely walks. Thank you for a lovely stay - would definitely return!!

We had a fantastic stay at the Pinfold Cottage. The room was clean, comfy and had everything you might need for a nice accomodation; the ensuite bathroom was clean and included a decent size shower. The downstairs kitchen area had all sorts of teas, coffees and other beverages available at all times, even snacks for an evening craving :) The Cottage is located in a very convenient place as you have bus stops right outside the building or a very short walk from it, so getting into the city centre is a breeze. The hosts are wonderful and welcoming people available to help or offer guidance when it comes to York and the area. It was our first but definitely not the last visit!

The breakfast was continental style and there was everything that you would want, fresh fruit, yogurts, milk, cereal, bread, honey, Jam, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, juices, water, pancakes, croissants, snacks in the cupboard, if you wanted popcorn or ice creams at anytime they were readily available. Jack was a wonderful host, always there in the morning for a chat, make you a drink etc. nothing was too much trouble. Very knowledgeable of the area. The bedrooms were lovely and beds very comfy. Situated in a lovely village just outside York. Lovely places for food. The plough serves wonderful food too.
