Great location, easy for onward journey. Lovely, quiet and rural.Fab hosts, very comfortable room and great breakfast.

"A super place for an over-nighter or a longer stay."

Super location - right by the A1 ( a few minutes drive) yet in a peaceful rural area. Lots to see and do in the area. Great breakfast. Some funky furnishings!! I particularly liked the radiator at the top of the stairs!! Great eating in nearby local pubs.

The staircase up to the bedrooms is quite steep.

"Lovely and welcoming"

The Queen room was lovely, apart from creaky floorboards, but is an old house. Also, you can hear people in the small dining area downstairs and they can hear you. The breakfast was lovely and Sef is a lovely chap. They also got in decaf coffee and tea for us, thank you so much.

"I wanted a simple B&B while away for work - I found one of the nicest place I've ever been to"

The hosts are amazing. I've stayed in hundreds of hotels and B&Bs all over the world, - Shaan and Stef are heads and shoulders above everybody else with whom I'd ever stayed. Charming. Witty. Great conversation. And so, so hospitable. Nothing is too much trouble; they've truly thought of everything. One small touch: I left my nest of charging cables in our bedroom as I went out to work - I came back and found the cables neatly wrapped and secured with cable tidies, because Shaan felt like "doing something nice". Shaan, Stef, you are the best.

Great value for us, very good location just off of the A1, the breakfast was hot and tasty and couldn't have been better, the hosts were very friendly and attentive and we would be happy to stay again.

The owners were excellent hosts, my room was very clean with everything you needed. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. Fully recommended the evening meals absolutely first class, would recommend to anyone to stay here.
