Tumbleweed Cottage

What a beautiful little place, lovely welcome great very comfortable room and a huge breakfast. Definitely looking to return when next in the area for work.

This is a perfect stopover to split the trip along the long stretch of the UK. The hosts are most welcoming, the beds cannot be more comfortable and it was all spotlessly clean. Exceptional attention to detail and wonderful breakfast- wait for their home made pot of yogurt, cereal and berry compote before jumping on the buffet cereal! I had dinner here and was served one of the best curries I have had. This was my first time at Tumbleweed Cottage and I felt as of I was staying with friends rather than in a b&b. I cannot speak highly enough of this place and will definitely be coming back.

I didn't like having to leave and carry on my drive home! I would have happily stayed a couple more nights. There is nothing not to like.

Shaan & Sef were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean , beds were very comfortable. The stay was great and would definitely recommend to others .

We had a little difficulty finding Tumbleweed Cottage as for some reason it wasn't show up on Google maps. But once we'd found it, we had a warm welcome from Sef, one of the owners. We were fascinated to hear about the cottage's history in his family and the renovations that have been done. The room had everything you could have wished for - it was wonderfully comfortable and every small detail had been thought of. We were delighted that we could stay in it with our dogs. We had elected to have dinner at Tumbleweed which proved a good choice and worked really well for us. The food was home-cooked and delicious. Ditto our breakfast the following morning - and a huge choice. We would definitely stay here again - in fact we've already booked to do so!

Staying at Tumbleweed Cottage has been a speacial time in our extended travel through Europe and the UK. From the first contact via Whats app to our farewells we felt special and excited to have stayed with such kind people. The cottage is comforatable, private, has a warm atmosphere and is a treasure just off the A1. Our breakfast another delight, from the yoghurt pot to the delishious pastries, it was a joy to sit and enjoy the treats from the kitchen a coffe and a chat with other happy guests. Thank you we loved our stay.

Excellent breakfast, super-attentive hosts. Very comfy bed with good mattress and pillows. Good shower. Nice and almost unique touch of SKY Sports on tv, really appreciated being a sports fan.

Everything the guys that run it are absolutely fantastic and nothing is too much of an effort. The bed was fantastic and I absolutely loved the way you operated the curtains. We would highly recommend staying for dinner as it was delicious
