There’s not a lot that can be said about Tumbleweed Cottage that hasn’t been said before - really is a rarity to find somewhere that ticks all the boxes from quality of bed and bedding to fabulously prepared fresh breakfast- not my first stay and certainly won’t be my last !! Thanks Shaan and Sef exceptional service

"Perfectly relaxing with a yummy breakfast xx"

Set in a huge garden overlooking fields. The hosts are lovely and we will definitely go again. Ideal stop off when going up or down the A1. Hosts recommended a local pub for food and beer The Duke William and it was amazing .

The accommodation was excellent and the hosts couldn't be more helpful or friendly. Really enjoyed our stay and will certainly be staying their again. The breakfast was delicious, as was the evening meal that we opted to have.

Lovely place, 2 minutes from the A1 but in the countryside. Sef and Shaan are charming hosts who can’t do enough to make your stay a good experience. Old cottage full of modern ideas. Very comfortable and quiet, nice garden to sit out in fine weather and good walks nearby. Food good. Second time we’ve stayed and we’ll happily do so again if we’re passing. Thanks for a peaceful stay on our way back to Scotland (where it is now raining…. Soooohh nice 😊)

The owners Shaan and Sef are lovely and very welcoming and friendly. They are really happy to let you know of restaurants nearby. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Our room was beautiful. The cooked breakfast was delicious.
