Very clean and great kitchen facilities

Location and lovely garden host was really nice.

Not enough privacy between the bedroom and bathroom. Tiles were very dated in the shower .Top drawer in the bathroom was really dirty. Kitchen was very cold in the morning

Very responsive owner. Room was ready early so I could leave my bag. The peace and quiet of the countryside was very pleasant. The guest house had a shared living room and dining/kitchen. The in-room shower had a good water flow and was plenty hot enough. There was ample on-site car parking. When I stayed, it was cold outside and the bedroom was warm enough even though there was no individual heating control in the room.

Stairs to the bedroom. I only had one small carry-on size bag so it wasn't too bad, but had I got a large suitcase, stairs are always challenging. There was a small kettle in the room with tea and coffee (which was great), but it was difficult to fill the kettle from the small sink.

Proximity to Beamish, kitchen facilities

Single very cramped and no visible power points for charging as they are behind a high headboard , hence the bruise to my arm attempting to plug in 2 chargers. My advice would be book a double room.

Very Clean comfortable generally very well maintained, lovely rural setting with a beautiful garden.

The ensuite is only separated from the bedroom by a curtain , if you are staying as a couple sharing a room this may be a little 'over' intimate but only a small problem really.
