The Inn itself is spacious, interesting, clean, light and airy. The toilets are so clean I had to double look! The rooms are beautifully decorated, quite and relaxing, and the bed was so comfy - I actually asked where the mattress was from! Breakfast - wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble for Jane and Colin - the perfect hosts.

"A unique place with a warm welcome"

We liked the modern and characterful interior with lots of interesting art by local artists. Landlord and staff were very welcoming, friendly and hospitable. Breakfast was generous and tasty with a variety of options.

"A nice reststop"

The food of the inn is amazing, also the bathroom of our room was great. The people of the inn were are also very friendly and helpful with any questions we had.

The matrass of the bed in our room was a bit worn(preshaped to different people) which made the night's sleep a bit less good. Also some bathsoap would be handy for the room we were in with a bath. 😉

The breakfast was superb and freshly cooked as well as plentiful .

The bed was quite squeaky so when anyone moved it disturbed our sleep

"Colin the landlord was very helpful and apologetic when we couldn’t check in. He went out of his way to make sure we had"

We were unable to check in when we arrived and the landlord couldn’t even get in. Breakfast was good although we had to wait half an hour for it on the first day. No cereal or juices available and just butter for your toast no marmalade or jam.

"Unexpected Gem! Great for walkers."

Lovely pub, incredible steak pie that’s home made and super comfy bed. The rooms were modest and thoughtful designed.
