Traditional pub with lovely unfussy rooms. Beautiful quality fittings and local artwork. Super comfy bed. Proper dog friendly, not just lip service. Most beautiful walking country. Locals friendly and staff/owner can’t do enough to help.

Pub Food a little bit expensive. Charge per dog can ramp up the cost, not sure if it’s a nightly charge or one off.

Ideale tussenstop op onze wandeling van Brighton naar Eastbourne. Rustig gelegen pub met lekkere pintje en heel lekker eten. En ook het ontbijt mocht er zijn! Enige nadeel: we zijn sowieso al niet van de grootste maar zelfs voor ons waren de bedden iets te nipt.

Staff were exceptional and could not be better Breakfast First Class wholesome food with an option Room and Bathroom were spotless Furniture was a little dated Bar had just what you needed and served with pride and a smile Overall would recommend to anybody

Just a shame they didn’t offer cereals or yoghurts etc at breakfast for those who don’t like a cooked breakfast. I just ended up with toast which seemed a bit poor for the price of the room.
