The Abbeygate Townhouse

Das Zimmer lag sehr zentral, so dass die Stadt fußläufig zu erkunden war. Das Zimmer war sauber.

Die Einrichtung war sehr neutral gehalten. Aus dem Nachbarzimmer war ein ständiges Rauschen eines Abluftschlauchs zu hören

The room was spacious and the check in instructions were clear. The bed was comfortable and they had an iron and ironing board which is a plus. Nice smelling shampoo and soaps. Very central location and a great base for exploring the city and further afield!

Very central location in a bank holiday - very loud outside! Noise from revellers late into the night, the extraction unit from the cafe downstairs is right outside the window! The room was hot and dry, but also the noise outside meant that I had to have earplugs in. The walls are thin so I could hear people’s alarms and toilet breaks, and the ceilings were thin enough to hear thunderous footsteps upstairs on both nights until about midnight! I didn’t like that there were no staff around to ask to change rooms, but it felt like it was packed out because of the bank holiday weekend. The bathroom was musty smelling and had mouldy patches above the shower cubicle. I wish I had read reviews more thoroughly before I booked, but it was pretty last minute.

Very modern location is excellent. Comfortable

The mattress was too big for the bed and both myself and my husband fell off when we tried to get into bed. There was a bad smell in the room when we got back from a night out and it was coming from the bathroom and was still there in the morning. The people next to us were packing up at 6.30 and woke me up and they were talking and it was like they were in the same room. Walls thin.

Very clean and the look was very modern! Also great location to be close to the city.

The parking situation was a bit confusing, the room a bit small compared to other hotels in our stay.
