North Hero House Inn and Resort

The restaurant was excellent.

The room was small and had a view of garage roofs. If you are in the main inn, You have to walk through the dining room where people are eating to access the stairs to your rooms.

Everything about the inn was lovely.

Great location and friendly concierge. The room was spacious and clean.

There was a constant banging noise in my room during dinner at the restaurant. My room was on the second floor and was apparently above the kitchen. There was staining from red mold on the grout around the base of the shower that didn’t look nice. Access to the rooms in the main house is via a narrow stairway that is difficult to navigate with luggage.

All of North Hero Island is a vacation-within-a-vacation. We loved-and needed!-this break from the stress of every day life, and we're so glad we found this unique place. We especially enjoyed the perfect 180-degree view of the lake from our screened-in porch, a comfy king sized bed and great shower, and the delicious complimentary breakfast. Our only real issue was that because we arrived after 11 pm and everything was tucked in for the night, we had trouble locating the entrance in the dark! (It's on the side, toward the back.) Perhaps a small light over the sign would keep other night owls from having to tromp around in the grass with their suitcases, searching for the right door. The Pier Bar just next door to our cottage was also a happy surprise. Highly recommend this cozy, unforgettable place!

We had an amazing night at The North Hero house. We had dinner there also it was fantastic.
