Nirvana Hotel

Cute little motel on the strip.

Nirvana Hotel is a disgusting joke. They market themselves as “dog-friendly,” but what they really mean is “we’re going to rob you blind if you dare bring your pet.” $75 PER NIGHT for a dog? That’s not a pet fee — that’s a blatant cash grab. Shameful, greedy, and completely unjustified. The place itself is a dump. The room looked like it hadn’t been cleaned since 1998 — stains on the carpet, weird smells, dingy lighting, and furniture that looks like it was salvaged from a landfill. The area around the hotel? Absolutely sketchy. Not safe, not welcoming, and definitely not somewhere I’d want to be walking a dog (or even myself) after dark. This place is a scam from top to bottom. False advertising, outrageous fees, gross accommodations, and zero concern for guest safety or comfort. STAY FAR AWAY. You’d be better off sleeping in your car — cheaper, cleaner, and a hell of a lot safer.

Don't stay here unless it's the only option. I have no idea why anyone would give this place more than 3 stars. The location is the only reason I did, and it wasn't worth it. Many reasons: One, It's an old motel, way over rated. Two, It's clean enough, but feels like a Motel 6. Three, management is poor. They charged me twice after I made a mistake in booking, and would not help. Four, the breakfast is lame. Five, there are SO many other options in Vegas ( stay at one of the big discount hotels instead or Desert Rose. Don't stay here. I think they are jury rigging their reviews.

Pros - comfortable bed, clean, friendly staff. Suggestions - The room would be more comfortable if there were an ice machine, coffee maker, larger shelf areas (there is a very small table under the tv, not much room for personal items), maybe another chair instead of just one, and a microwave might be useful as well. I felt that the motel that calls itself a hotel fell short and offered the bare minimum. As for location, it is at the end of the strip, easy to walk one block up and be at NY NY. However, it is located next to a totally deserted closed down motel that is full of grafitti. Does not feel like vacation. Also, the motel / hotel filled in their pools with rocks which is a bummer. Other reviewers liked this, but I feel they are not inviting. For Vegas, there are a lot of options. This was a clean room, we slept fine, but I do not feel this is a place I will return to.

Very nice

We came to this hotel for the night while seeing a concert in town. It was very easy to find, slightly back from the strip (behind a popular breakfast spot) and the rooms were comfortable. A few complaints, if any, were the harsh office lights in the rooms and the room included some rechargeable bedside sconces but they were not fully charged so they kept going out. The room in general had a few inconsistencies as far as aesthetics but that’s not a dealbreaker. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful and we loved that they had a small area in the back for walking our small dog. Would stay here again!

Very homelike environment. Excellent staff, security on patrol, close proximity to places to eat, sayulita is very good in my opinion. I’d definitely recommend. A new place for me to stay. Good coffee and donuts too.

As my Uber driver said "diamond in the rough". But he had no clue it was even there and was hopeful for us. And boy was it! We really enjoyed our stay here. Bed, pillows, linens, and not a far walk to be on the strip.
