HM Bavaro Beach – Adults Only

Really nice hotel. Not to crowded. Very clean compared to others. Food and drink is good for a hotel. Do not expect a food journey. It has all you need and it has super super friendly staff. Credit card payments are preferred and the beach is nice to look at from the sky bar and pool

Seaweed was not cleaned properly. Couldnt access the beach at all during our entire 5 days of trip. Room and service was okay.

Resort was good, but the beach wasn’t that great. Old boats and parts were stored on the beach which is weird. The streets leading to the resort were flooded with maybe 3 inches of water the whole time we were there. The staff and the food was good though.

The hotel is NOT as advertised. It is not an excellent rating; far from it. I don't want anyone else to think this is a beachfront option as it is not. The smell of the seaweed on their private beach along with the standing smelly water that surrounds the property is intolerable. They try their best to hide the horrific smell with air freshener, but it's no competition for the powerful stench. The rooms are very tiny and ours faced an area where trash was kept. We tried walking around the neighborhood but it's unsafe and flooded with water. We unfortunately had to leave after one night, and find other accommodations as the smell made me physically ill. On a good note, the staff were all kind and the breakfast buffet was very nice. The roof-top infinity pool is lovely, but the smell from below wafts up and ruins it. So, beware of this place if you have a desire to not smell sewage and seaweed.
