HM Bavaro Beach – Adults Only

Todo bien asta en hotel buen servicio la limpieza súper la chica from desk y la lead de limpieza súper lo único que no están conté fue lo de la playa me sentí en poca palabra obligada de usar piscina ya que no podía pero la calor era inmensa de hot

My husband and I stayed at HM Bavaro for 6 days. For the most part, we were happy with our stay. All of the staff was friendly and helpful. A special shout-out to the gentleman server at the Sky Bar that always greeted us with a smile and remembered how we liked our coffee every morning. The breakfast was always delicious and the roof top bar and lounge area were GREAT to cool off and relax. The area has many restaurants/bars. There were only a few things worth mentioning (to me) that I didn’t enjoy: 1. The area a few blocks from the hotel STINKS (literally!) There is always standing water and smelled like old garbage. If it rains while you’re staying at or near HM Bavaro be prepared to walk in ankle deep water that doesn’t drain for days. 2. The lack of sidewalks. Oh, and traffic is crazy. I’m from a Manhattan and I love to walk (even in 90° F +). I was disappointed that there is only a sidewalk on 1 side. Also, how are the narrow streets 2-ways?! The traffic can be crazy at times… especially during rush hour. 3. When checking in, the gentleman at one of the desks asked me to provide him with a copy or detailed breakdown on my phone of my hotel itinerary. This was after I showed him my passport. I have travelled to several countries and states and no one has ever asked me this. I found it odd and annoying. Wouldn’t he have this info in his system? :/ Overall, the stay was nice.

Honestly this was not my first choice, I wanted the all inclusive HM, I picked the wrong hotel, having said that people are nice and friendly, (except for 1) food in the 2 restaurants was great, it definitely needs more activities, things to do w guest, so nothing to do in the evening, maybe a show outside near the beach, will I return to stay NO, to visit the staff absolutely..

Gross smell as soon as i walked into the room. Lots of seedy residents around the property, making it impossible to venture out beyond the hotel. Definitely looking for different accomodations the next time im in punta cana.

Pros: rooms are clean, staff are friendly and professional. Cons: hotel pics are not reality. Hotel is near a boat area. So your sea view is with boats and construction trucks. You may luck out and get a room that’s way off to the side that you don’t see too many boats but a good portion of the hotel is situated behind the boats. And the beach itself was not the prettiest. The food was not good. Either overly salty or tasteless. Only one breakfast item on the menu I liked but everything else was tasteless. Was not worth paying the extra money for it. The area was not the greatest. When I arrived the first day it had rained and the road was flooded. So I couldn’t walk to many places and also didn’t really feel safe. As I had a lot of random men approaching me either trying to sell me stuff/ and or hitting on me. So it took away from the relaxing experience I was seeking.

It is not fair to use hotel guests as explorers-discoverers of the multiple faults in the rooms and structural problems of the hotel, taking away their rest time and forcing them to move rooms.

The rooftop pool and views were amazing. The staff were all very attentive. Comfortable beds and clean. Walking distance to shopping, restaurants, and grocery.
