Abbey Apartments by Barsala

I would highly recommend. The building was incredible. Almost brand new, beautiful and clean. The check in and out process was easy and flawless and the location was convenient to everything you would with to do in downtown. I will definitely be staying here again when I am back in Cleveland.

I had an excellent stay at this property! The space was new, beautifully appointed, and offered all the comforts I needed. I felt very safe during my visit, especially with the added security presence in the parking lot. The attention to detail in the design and amenities really stood out, making it a perfect place for relaxation and convenience. The gym was superb. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others looking for a great experience!

Only thing was it was so many cars broke in too

The location of the property appears to be safe! However, my first night at least 10-15 cars had their driver side front window broken out between 2-5am. The interesting thing is it look liked they targeted people who were there visiting as opposed to the buildings leasing occupants. I just didn’t feel like this was a coincidence. I also brought this to the property managers attention mid-afternoon. She said she didn’t know this had occurred. I find that hard to believe since the police had been on location and wrote incident reports on all of the vehicles that had been vandalized. The manager gave me the impression that it was business as usual and didn’t seem empathetic of mine and the other occupants situation. However, I was sent a follow up message shortly thereafter reminding me of the check out rules.

My check in was fast and easy. I was informed about check in upon my arrival and was notified if there were any changes. The apartment was perfect for my weekend accommodations. Nika was very great and also gave me contact info for an on site supervisor. This was a great experience and I would definitely book again.

My one bedroom apartment at 1900 Abbey in Ohio City was a great location, walking distance to the Westside market and a lot of great restaurants and breweries. The room was modern with all the amenities, including a full kitchen and washer and dryer. The property is walking distance to stairs that lead to the Hope Memorial Bridge that features the stone guardians for which the Cleveland baseball team is named.

Nice place - But Be Prepared for Management Challenges Overall , the accommodation was lovely. The apartment itself was clean, quiet, and well-equipped with everything I needed. I felt comfortable and safe during the day, though I’d be a bit cautious about going out after dark. If you’re looking for a peaceful and well-maintained place to stay, The Abbey delivers. However, there’s a caveat: Barsala, the property management company, is incredibly unresponsive. As long as you don’t need to deal with them, you’ll be fine. If anything goes wrong, prepare for frustration. I locked myself out, and despite reaching out to them, Barsala acknowledged my problem and then ghosted me and would not respond to Saundra. Expedia customer service finally got them to respond hours later. Speaking of Saundra—the bright spot of my stay! She was professional, empathetic, and went above and beyond to solve any problems that came up. Without her, I’m not sure how long I would have been stuck outside. Another issue to note is the poor communication from Barsala’s team. I called at 3 PM to see if I could check in early, and was told they’d call me back. They never did. This is a very late check in time don’t expect flexibility. In summary, while the accommodation itself was great and Saundra was fantastic, Barsala’s management is a serious weak point. If you’re self-sufficient and don’t anticipate needing much help, The Abbey is a solid choice. Just cross your fingers that nothing goes wrong

We were visiting family in Cleveland and were super comfortable for our walking-distance stay at the Abbey Apts. The space was well appointed, very comfortable, and immaculately clean! Thank you! We will stay here again and again!

There was a leak in the apartment. They couldnt get us in another room until later. We waited on tjem to call to ket us know it was ready but they never called. When we finaly got in the other room, there was not enough bedding for pullout couch. When we opened the couch, it was filthy!
