The automated, new age room rental is for kids. The lack of on-sight human intelligence made this visit miserable. First of all, Expedia misrepresented the room by putting a queen size bed on a room listing that has four twins. Sonders could have made the changes I. Good faith, but instead said they want another $90 to give me the queen room I thought I was getting based on the reservation. Upon arrival, the elevator was inoperable so I had to carry my 48 pound suitcase up three sections of emergency stairwell stairs, I’m almost 60’years old. The four twin bunkbed room that I was erroneously assigned was like a prison cell. Narrow, cramped and the windows led to alley walls, trash pick up, drunks etc. The marketing material talks about shared kitchen, coffee, and amenities, but there is no one to run and refill the amenities. It’s basically a big hostel. Kids with backpacks, drunk young adults coming in and out all night long. I needed a late check out due to an appointment at 10. You can use their “use at your own risk” storage room, or you can haul your suitcases 5 blocks to a Bounce in Hotel Felix. In fact you might just want to stay at Hotel Felix instead. They were very accommodating and helpful. Self sufficient, electronic automation is coming but the lack of human interaction and problem solving was a bummer. I won’t do this again.

The convenance of entering the building as well as the hotel room with just a passcode was very handy.

Very clean, safe, and quiet. Rooms are furnished well and had zero problems. Only minor complaint is the water pressure was a bit low for the shower.
