Maverick Suites at 89 Marion

Very well located, secure, and quiet.

Very reasonably priced & well located near Coolidge Corner. Comfortable bed. Our 2nd floor room faced the street and had ample room, a comfortable chair plus a nice "ghost" desk chair and a desk. (Much more appealing than our last stay at 89 Marion, where our first floor room faced the alley parking area and had only one chair and a too small round table.) Both rooms had microwave, quiet mini-fridge, plates/bowls/mugs, glassware & silverware for 4. Also quiet mini-split heat and A/C. Well maintained communal kitchens on floors 2 & 3 with full stove & fridge (with freezer) allow one to make a real meal. Only "downscale" aspects were rough towels and bottom of the line toilet paper & paper towels. I would stay again in a front-facing room.

I would say so-so at best. The walls here are paper thin — so you can hear pretty much everything the other people in the next room are saying, as though they’re actually in the room with you—so this includes their television playing, their music playing, when they turn on the shower or flush the toilet. This makes it a less-than restful or relaxing experience in this place. And because there’s no carpeting on the floors either, you get to hear the upstairs people above you clomping around whenever they like. Not great, and definitely not relaxing.

Really nice stay, I got there and my code to my room wasn't working @ 1 in the morning. Was able to call support and get a new room within 5 minutes. Walls are thin though!

Soundproofing not very good

Small room, but adequate for our use.

We stayed in a basement room. It was OK, but there was little sound proofing so that you could hear the flushing of toilets from neighboring units, people walking in unit above, cleaning ladies chatting in hall. Room was in poor shape on check in - all except one electric outlet and the TV did not work. There was a window that did not close, letting in cold air, and anyone really wanting to break in. Maintenance did fix the electric and got the window to close and lock, but we had no tv for our 4 night stay. Location is great though.

Easy and comfortable getaway. Help easy to reach and always available.

The room was clean and nice, however, I didn't noticed when I booked, but this room was in the basement, which I didn't like much. It was possible to open the black out curtains only partially, leaving the room in the dark, and therefore I had to always keep the lights on. The room was quite noisy, mainly due to the noise coming from the upper floor and the fridge, which would intermittently turn on very loudly during the night.

We loved this neighborhood and were able to park on the street. The room is quite pleasant and the property is well-maintained. Communication was clear!
